Beta Weekend No.2 What you gonna do?
REAPER GS BUFFS=GLORY
extra dodges, real stability, mobility skills,
burst skills, sustain, or good support. GG ANET.
…when they come for you. (that follows “what you gonna do”)
Rev/herald test, Thief test.
I’ll try Reaper for PvE and Daredevil for PvP.
Bad boy bab boy …
Having found my old PC unsuitable for the increased specs, ill be seeing how my new PC performs in the new area
I can tell you what I won’t be doing, and that’s playing my Druid. Because it’s not out yet. With 1 potential beta weekend left to test it, and just 50 days to go until release, things aren’t looking too great for us naturalists!
There’s achievements. I should try for those.

REAPER GS BUFFS=GLORY
Pretty much this.
Torture myself by playing Revenant (esp for Glint) and Reaper again (only to have them ripped from my grasp).
I haven’t played thief yet, but want to try out Daredevil.
Not much point in playing DH unless some of the announced changes have found their way in.
Taking herald and daredevil to SW. herald in new map. And see how reaper feels now.
Fiddle with reaper, revenant, and daredevil, then remember I don’t get to keep loot and go back to playing my regular characters.
Maybe try to get into some of the events and such on the new maps, I was so lost last time as to how to get around, and wasn’t adapted to getting seemingly one shot by everything so I didnt get to see much.
There is absolutely no evidence to support that it would.” -AnthonyOrdon
I’ll continue on my Reaper — she’s even the one with the HoT glider — and certainly I’ll test the heck out of Daredevil. Probably I’ll test the Chronomancer and Dragonhunter changes before I delete someone to make room for Daredevil. I should also try Berserker if there is time, possibly Tempest, but as my warriors and ele’s are little played I don’t know that I’d have any meaningful feedback. I’ll see how Glint works on my test Rev. Mostly Daredevil and Reaper for me, though, unless something else turns out to engage my interest more than I expected.
There are beta achieves to get, masteries to advance, new places to explore, and a wild noble to placate. Sadly I can’t play nonstop! There’s sleep, food, and catsitting for friends who went to DragonCon to do.
And then of course there’s the fantastic feedback template up in the stickies here to use as a model to write out my response to the weekend.
test the berserker, daredevil, reaper and revenant
and finding out the best ways to kill the new enemies :p
0- Test Stronghold with my main Engie.
1- Make and test Tempest.
2- Make and test Dragundurhurr.
3- Erase the worst of them.
4- Make nd test Berserker.
5- Erase the worst of them.
6- Make and test Cronomancer.
7- Erase the worst of them.
8- Test Glint on the old Rev.
9- Make a human Reaper and compare him with the asura Reaper from last BWE. Erase the less awesome one.
10- Make and test Daredevil.
11- Play the new PvE content with the most interesting of the remaining chars.
12- Fill the form and send feedback.
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

1. Create Tempest
2. Cry
I will first test out the Herald, Berserker and Daredevil in fractals/dungeons. After that I’ll check out the changes on the Chronomancer, Dragonhunter and Reaper.
Then probably explore the new part of Verdant Brink
I won’t be checking out the Tempest at all, since ANet refused to change anything to it that would make it better. Why bother testing something again and give the exact same feedback as in BWE1?
Test a deathblossom d/d daredevil for potential pve tanking applications to see how it stacks up against the d/d lifesteal evade tank I use in live with the same party.
I fully expect better damage and overall tanking capacity.
Probably check out the new events as well.
Might test dragonhunter a bit to see if I want to level a guardian now that its gone through a balance pass since I didn’t like vanilla guardian’s playstyle. Maybe the fact guardians hate it will mean I like it.

Test the changes to the Reaper to see if it was enough, I still have my doubts due to the cast time but I will give it a fair shot. I hope to trial the two new specializations but my main focus will be the Reaper.
Binge on Chrono and DD in pvp.
I’ll probably try and give everything a shot, but considering I have to work on Saturday I may not be able to

Gonna hit up the Reaper again, see if the new “Rise!” minion types make as big a difference for the class’ defensive capabilities as I hope it will. Oh, and also smash things in the face with a giant powerbuffed greatsword and a chilling scytheblade pull that actually works. God I want my Reaper on live already…
Anyways. Probably give the Berserker and the Dodgedevil a run or two as well – Thief, Warrior, and Necromancer are generally my three biggest classes, so as much as I just want to zombiemode the Reaper all weekend, would be good to get some time in on the others.
Specifically not going to be bothering with Revenants – after two disappointing tests and no fixes in sight for the class’ incredibly awful traits, I’m just turned off of the class now. I’d rather spend my BWE time working with things I (hopefully) know I like and will be making immediate use of come Heart of Thorns’ release.
Yes, ArenaNet: that means I’m currently not planning on a shiny new Rev come the game’s release. They’re just not fun, despite some really interesting skill ideas/animations. Not with having fewer weapons than everything but the Engineer, no utility skill selection at all, and exceedingly lackluster traits that don’t synergize together at all, or do anything to suggest or improve builds to be run. I’d honestly rather use the bonus char slots on new iterations of existing classes, so I can have more options to run different builds on professions I do like.
As for game modes? Likely chest-deep in Verdant Brink. I really enjoyed running against the new enemies and am eager to see if A.) Smokescales are still awesomely frustrating to fight (<3 Smokescales. I haven’t had so much fun being so mad in forever), and B.) if the other new threats in the jungle measure up. The variety and punchyness of the enemies in the jungle are a total sugar rush for fun-starved PvE players, I want to see if they can keep it up. I haven’t had so much fun just running around doing righteous battle for a long time.
You PvP types or RAIDZ[!!!] folks can do my share of complaining about class balance for me. You’re better at the raw minutiae of the math involved than I am. I want to see if the jungle is still increasingly fun, and if my favorite prospective elite specs feel right.

Try out the Reaper again. It was a tad underwhelming last beta but they said they’ve buffed it. Then my new fav, my new Rev, named Smallmedium Atlarge.
ANet may give it to you.
1. Delete Tempest
2. Roll Daredevil
3. Test out the Herald and Rev changes
4. Play around with Chrono some more
5. Slaughter all things with Reaper while singing along to The Monster Mash
6. Being happy and content with Chrono I will replace it with Warrior and test
7. Test all these things on the new mobs and hoping the events actually work this time
8. Utterly destroy and dismember all Smokescale to avenge my earlier noob deaths
9. Shed a tear that the latest DH changes didn’t make it into this BWE2
10. Give feedback
(edited by Bandit.8279)
First thing I’ll probably do is create a Revenant and test out Shiro (I actually skipped playing a Rev during the last beta, instead playing Reaper / Tempest / Dragonhunter) and Herald, as well as the general changes that have occurred since the very first pre-order Revenant test, which was the last time I played a Rev.
Then I’ll probably go back and test out the changes on the 3 Elite Specs I played last BWE, as mentioned above. Particularly excited about the Reaper changes, but hopefully all of them are changed for the better (hoping for some “surprise” changes beyond just what they posted in the individual forums already).
After that… I dunno. I still need to try Chronomancer, which I never got around to during the last BWE, but unless they actually give us more beta slots I’m not sure if I actually will or not. Kind of want to keep my 3 current elite specs + Revenant around for future tests.
Definitely won’t be trying Daredevil or Berserker, since Warrior and Theif are the two classes I don’t have in the core game. So I’d have no idea what to do with them and wouldn’t be able to give any sort of quality feedback anyway.
I’ve decided I’m not going to spoil any of the HoT zones for myself, so I’ll be mainly doing my testing on the above stuff in the open world.

I commend you for your excellent planning. Some of you really have this scaled out.
See you in the BWE!

I’m probably going to focus mainly on Stronghold. Haven’t really felt that excited about the specializations since of my two main classes… well, Druid isn’t out yet and I felt like I didn’t really “get” Dragon Hunter. But I have had fun with the new PvP mode.
Stormbluff Isle ( http://www.stormbluffisle.com )
As usual not much time (metal open air near my place), but I’ll re-take the role of my already created reaper and smack my GS in the enemy’s faces :-)
I’ll also make a berserker. Looks most fun of the newly announced ones. I won’t play too much (3-5 h the whole weekend) , since I don’t want to spoil the release for me.

Friday evening (here): Herald in WvW
Tomorrow evening: Daredevil in WvW
Sunday morning: Berserker in WvW
Sunday afternoon: PvE content
Sunday evening: WvW depending on my favourite specialisation ^^
Son of Elonia.
-Going to try to make my necro/reaper friend give up again on beating my chronomancer after 20 tries and failing miserably
-Try some more revenant specs
-This time give chrono a try in pve
-Properly test skill 5 placement on shield 5 vs a blob
Going to test out the the druid and see…oh wait
Personally, I am going to test revenant, war and elementalist specs.
And of course, I test the new map and these events.
(It could have been fun to have an overview of raids )
I will try once more for Tempests… depending on how much fun I have, I may leave it for the next BWE, or delete it and try Herald. Actually, I’ll try Herald anyway (bye bye Reaper).
My Revenant wakes…Once again, she steps out from the mists and into the Maguuma jungle.
Stronger than ever.
Her will be done.
I’m going to complete all of the BWE achievements (probably splitting one day between each outpost to account for the inevitable bugs), and then take advantage of the PvP bonus to farm reward tracks in Stronghold while testing out the new elite specs. (REALLY looking forward to seeing how Berserker plays.)
I’ll try playing dungeons as a Reaper, as I really do not want to spoil myself the new map stuff. Aswell as maybe hopping into a few sPvP matches.
When does it start CET ?
Servant of Dhuum
Torture myself by playing Revenant (esp for Glint) and Reaper again (only to have them ripped from my grasp).
I haven’t played thief yet, but want to try out Daredevil.
Not much point in playing DH unless some of the announced changes have found their way in.
Pretty much this, the whole thing.
It hurts me so bad to play them and then have them taken away. Just 50 more days though
Plans:
Give Herald a thorough workout, including combining it with all four of the other legends (not at once, obviously).
Put Daredevil through its paces.
Try out the changes on the Reaper, possibly with a MM Reaper using Rise!
After that… play it by ear. I was considering Tempest, but I might delay that until some more substantial changes come down the pipeline, and I’d like to at least try the berserker.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
Oh, definitely looking forward to testing out Daredevil. And I really didn’t give Revenant enough attention last time out, so I’ll correct that this weekend.
I’m just sad that we won’t have access to guild chat again. It would be nice to compare notes with my guildies while testing, but there’s always TS for that.
Guardians of the Vault [GotV] and Guíld of Dívíne Soldíers [GoDS]

Going to try out a condition reaper and a hybrid berzerker myself. Might give tempest a try as well. Mostly I want to explore the new map and figure out where everything is so that I am not lost when expansion time comes!

Play Dragon hunter again and see if its worth re rolling my armour and weapons onto my war :/
I’m going to start out with detailed and carefully considered plans for Reaper and Tempest, then on arrival squeeeeeeee madly at being in a new zone and spend the entire weekend exploring and gliding and updrafting and accomplish absolutely nothing useful at all XD
Imma test that new stuff. Daredevil, Reaper GS buffs, Herald…. new map…
New achievos! Masteries!
Take a nap, buy some groceries, watch some TV. Maybe play a little bit GW2, but not sure about the last idea^^
sadly most of friday when it start is nap before work then work, but i do want to get a mesmer rolled to be ready with my gaming partner on Saturday and Sunday to play. Really give this beta event a fair chance and try to play and such.
I just not sure what mastery to focus on and such.
Will be testing staff for thief… was the sole reason I just made an 80 thief, so hopefully is amazing, will also test staff rev n see if that’s better now.
