Will you be sending out more beta invites or are those the only invites people will get? I played since GW1, played GW2 since closed beta.

There will be more beta events, confirmed by Gaile.

To everyone who was not amongst the small number of invitees this time around, please know we will be doing more tests in the future. If you want to boost your chances, sign up for the newsletter, as we draw some number of testers from that pool.

Also — this is important: Our invitation does not include links other than a link to this very forum (actually, the Heart of Thorns sub-forum). If you or someone you know gets an e-mail that suggests you use a link to access the test, or validate your accounts, or that is some other way heads you to a site other that our official site or forum, you should not click the link. After all, the e-mail itself contains the info you need to know to test, and the only link heads directly to and only to our forums.

I think there will be one than just 1 beta.

I’ve been signed up since launch of GW2.

These arent beta invites, they are stress test invites.

I believe you might have to sign up again, in order to show interest/activity. Thats what I understood from the blog post at least.

Do you have to sign up to the newsletter with your effective Gw2 ‘username’ or can it be any email address to get a chance of beta access?

All I know is that it threw me when I logged in and saw the new profession choosing interface with the greyed out revanent symbol. I gather that is going to be in the game as such until the release of HoT then?

… No you do NOT need to sign up again for the newsletter. As long as you have an active valid email, that’s all thats needed. I have been receiving newsletters since launch to date.

Oh, I agree that you will still receive the newsletters, but I also seem to recall there being something along the lines of adding yourself to the list again (via the HoT link) put your mail to an “active” list rather than just taking everyone that is signed up since release.

Thus you would need to sign up again, even if it is the same newsletters, in order to be part of the pool for the beta.

Can’t be. I haven’t signed up for anything since buying the game right after launch, and I received an invite for the stress test.

Oooops…I meant to reply to the above.

In my previous post, I mentioned that all that was needed was to have an active valid email. The important thing regarding the email is that it MUST be active, and not have been dormant — lying around not in use for a while.

I only signed up to receive news and newsletters at launch. I have been receiving them. I also received an invite.
