For those of us who have already gotten our elites, HP, masteries most of us seemed to have turned to GRINDING the Bladed Armor Top but are getting let down after almost 2 hours (not counting how much time those of us have actually spent trying to get this item) of grinding for an armor skin that ONLY drops if you have T4 with 100-200% participation, and half the time the events are bugged which denies you of the reward you’re working towards.

The Leystone top can be obtained as an actual reward that you seemingly don’t need RNG for, why not make the Bladed top either purchasable by the vendors for 5000 Airship parts OR make the bladed top a possible drop on Tier 3, and a guaranteed drop on T4 OR even attainable by one of the 5 canopy bosses? Or by defeating ALL of the canopy bosses, by meeting all of the requirements one gets the Bladed Chest reward! The RNG for this piece is extremely low, but I’ve seen now that when it does drop, many people do obtain it when in the same instance.
Regardless, the drop is still very low. Which makes you want to work for something you more than likely will not get. I see what you did there anet, it was to keep the map populated by having us actually organize events, which is great! Getting away from the ‘zerg’ mind is a nice change tbh. But who’s to say that the map will be empty when everyone gets this top? I really don’t think it will. People will always be after materials in certain maps, the Events ARE fun. But the RNG for this Box is………………………………. sad.

I know some people haven’t really thought much of this, and don’t see the big deal & think when it happens, it happens. Which there is nothing wrong with that, everyone plays @ their own pace.

I agree it should be a tier 3 chance reward. I foresee tier 4 getting harder and harder to get the further down the road we go, simply from people going elsewhere.

I don’t really see it getting harder, unless people get their HP/masteries from that map & are done with it entirely or just become fed-up with trying to get the bladed armor top & move on to other things.

i have enough crowbars to be able to open enough chests to purchase everything from the vendor right now im sure of it, simply because i havent been opening the chests between events!

I feel you there, I’ve so far gotten numerous T4 until recently, one of the itzal quests are bugged where you bury the eggs – It’s hard to describe how frustrated one can be after trying to organize something that ends up being a fluke because somehow thinking of doing a better job than last time, just might get you the reward… but it doesn’t. I mean you do get a reward at the end of a Tier/day/night timer but it’s never anything you’re going after. Like the Bladed Armor coat box.

Funny that, I’ve done a total of two T4 200% runs and gotten the coat box each time. I was actually asking my friends after the run today if it ever dropped anything else and no one really knew, they all also got the coat boxes.

I’ve been playing since beta and have never gotten a precursor drop and I’m currently at over 700 days straight of slaying maw, claw of jormag and shatterer without getting their collection item drops, so I know I’m not lucky.

ive yet to see one in about 12 now, counting the two that happened today, nobody ive asked in my guild or in my party has gotten one either >.<

Then it is a complete RNG thing. I’ve done about 15 T4 maps now, 200% completion. Noone has said theyve gotten it, we would ask them to link it too if they did & nothing. I have terrible RNG btw

It’s a guarantee drop if you make the map 100% secure at night. To do this you need to kill all the canopy boss mobs. Everyone on my map got one when we did a maximum security upgrade at night.

It is not a guarantee drop. I’ve done 2 Tier 4 night maps fully complete. We even had time to spare & I had 200% completion & noone in my map had it :/
