They wouldn’t make any sense being in Maguuma.
How about asking for new content instead of revised old content? Maybe something better than infusions? Or easier to make?

well they said that the mastery system was going to have better infusions for fractals but that still gates the original infusions and why would a plant not grow in other area’s ? that like saying my cactus wouldnt grow in a plant pot because it doesnt belong in one

Nothing wrong with making older content more accessable, thats like saying the content wasnt good enough to keep it running in newer area’s of the game i for one dont want to see older content thrown away just because people want something new to keep them occupied

Come on, really? Why would a cactus that grows on a rocky island grow in a jungle? Completely different climates and soil types. Plants don’t just grow with dirt and water. And just because a new infusion comes along doesn’t mean anything has to change for the current infusion.

But you don’t know how we will get the new infusions, how good they will be or how they will be gated if at all. You are fear mongering and making assumptions based on that. For all we know the new infusions will pile up like bloodstone dust and you will be tossing it out in stacks as it piles up. You don’t know.

Lazaar even thats a good idea, but i would like to see more of the older content on other maps to help the movement of players around the world so were not all just shoehorned into one area again
If you just want to talk about current content, why are you in the HoT forum? And we won’t be just stuck in one area. Even the one area that we know of has 3 strata and there will be repeatable adventures all over the current map. To unlock masteries we will likely have to venture all over the world.

no as people that still want to create infusions can but with slightly less constrains
Its not like you dont do karka queen just because the original event isnt running anymore you still do it as part of the whole game

Actually, “passiflora” isn’t a cactus. It’s a tropical vine that would thrive in a jungle setting. It makes perfect sense for it to be in the Maguuma areas, but this game doesn’t always make sense, anyway when it comes to its flora choices. For example, the “cherry” trees (in reality this is a hard wood) drop “soft wood” when harvested. And the inverse “pine” which is a soft wood in reality drops “hard wood” when harvested. This has bugged me as a nitpick since day one, but it’s a fantasy setting. If they wanted to add a tree called “oak” and have it present “pulp wood” when harvested, that’s completely up to the game developers to do. It’s their world.

leave them as it. it takes some time to get a ton, but not a crazy amt.
you can also buy them, they aren’t cheap, but aren’t impossibly priced.

Sure, but the Maguuma Jungle will probably have its own share of unique resources. Probably a lot more than the 2 that Southsun has. Southsun needs all it can to draw people because its already fairly barren as it is beyond the Karka Queen and the occasional Karka farm train.

Mean. But I laughed.
Anet has to do more for the other Maps to ensure, that people wil lalso continously play also on the other maps.
e saw it so far each time, that whenever ANet added new maps, that the older maps more and more turn into ghost maps, because anet basically so far did nearly nothing to keep the older maps also interesting enough to play on them.
Season 1’s changes on the maps were the right thing to keep older content interesting.
But theres alot more, that Anet should do, to keep Maps like Southsun Cove interesting.
1) Add alot more of Region Achievements to all the other older Maps.
2) Continously add new Dynamic Events to the older maps, so that the super old Events that nobody can see anymore slowly become rarer to see, so that they don’t restart just after 5 minutes again, what makes you feel you wasted more your time, because all your efforts are 5 minutes later again totally in vain
3) add new Harvistign Sources in the existign Maps with new Harvestign Ressources including certain respources to be found only in specific maps
4) add new Harvestign Methods, like Fishing or Digging, which could be done also only in specific maps
5) Add new Monsters to the maps includign new slayer achievements
6) add new world bosses to maps, that currently have none
7) add new Guild Missions in the existing maps
8) Add to the older maps more rewarding mechanics like in Dry Top/Silver Waste with new NPCs that can give you somethign unique as rewards only in those maps for trading in some specific enemy loot
9) Mastery System and Legendary Collections surely will do something too soon to revive more the older maps
10) add some new dungeons in maps, that have yet none together with new events that need to be done to keep the dungeons accessible
if Anet would do just more of these 10 points in general, then would feel older maps so dead whenever they add a new map.
Southsun Cove is practically desfd, you see there only people when they farm for materials, or when karka Queen is about to come, what is really sad…
Dry Top is basically dead too..nobody does make the Sand Giant Boss, there are simply too less peopel in general on the map to be able to defeat it in the short time span that you have, unless you are playing on a organized map, that you need to search over LFG to get on a map, that is able to reach the maximum reward level for this map
The rewards are mostly all such kind if fire and forget rewards, once you have them, there is nothing that lets you want to play further on the map, silver waste did make it better, because if you have nothign anymore for your bandit crests that interests you, then you play at least on the mapo for the good money making that you have there from kaing tons of rares and gettign ectos out of them
