Okay, purchasing HoT says that it also includes a copy of the base game. I already have the game, so my questions are simply this:

1) Can I gift the other copy of the game to someone else, but keep HoT for myself?

2) How does redeeming HoT on MY account work?

It’s not actually including a copy of the base game. When you go to install hot you have two options. Upgrade an account, or start a completely new account.

So you get your hot code, you go to accounts.guildwars2.com and you add the key code to your account. It’s under the content tab.

Then that’s it. You have HoT.

But you cant’ give the account away, you can upgrade, or you can start over. I’d recommend upgrading to most people.

Thanks. And will the redeem code be delivered to me by Email?

Because I just spent 100$ on it, and I kinda wanna make sure I can actually FIND what I bought.

It should, I believe.

If you purchased in-game, it will automatically upgrade your account. Also, be aware that your Gems may not arrive for 72 hours, or more.
