Guild Wars 2

Hello,

I’d like to buy the expansion for a friend (I already bought it for myself).
On buy.guildwars2.com, should I enter my personal information including email address and then send the code for HoT to my friend?
Or is there an option on the store page to purchase for a friend?
Lastly, for those of you who’ve already done this, did everything work out OK? Was your friend able to redeem the code on their account without any problems?

i have not bought it but you only need to ask your self this, did you get a code send to you?
if you did then your friend can just make a new account and apply the code, if not then i think you need to coop with your friend to get it right, make a new account and buy it through that account for instance.

EDIT: does your friend already have GW2 or not?

You can just send the Serial Key to your friend after purchasing. When your friend registers/updates his/her account, they will ask the pertinent information. Make sure to send the receipt to your friend, in case he/she ever needs assistance from the CS Team.
