Hello All, I just start to do the “Heart of Thorns” expansion. I did the first two missions “Prologue” Rally to Maguuma" and “Torn from the Sky” When I was done with them, I ported out of the story and went to Silverwastes. Now, I am trying to do “Establishing a Foothold” but I cannot get to the Tangled Labyrinth because I do no have it unlocked on my map. Any advice on how to get over there or is it a bug? Thanks. I attached a photo to show where it wants me to go in the story and where I don’t have “tangled labyrinth” unlocked.

There is a bug reverting HoT progression. The last dev report said it will be fixed, but could take a day or two to sort out since it is quite significant.

If you have a personal teleport you could port to a friends location if you get them to team up and wp into Verdant Brink, but otherwise it’s awaiting a fix

You can try restarting the story by quitting the episode.

I have tried to restart the story and quitting the episode but it doesnt seem to work…I do have a personal teleport in my bank so I might be using that. Thanks for the help!

Option three is join a guild that has a Guild Hall. Preferably not Gilded Hollow, since you need Exalted Mastery to get out of that. Once you enter Verdant Brink, regardless of from where the first waypoint will become accessible.

I am having the same problem with one of my characters as well. When I contacted customer support regarding the issue Nov 1st, I was informed the issue was logged and the Development Team was working on the issue – but due to the complexity of the problem, no timelines could be provided.

So…it must be pretty serious.

Honestly I feel like they chose the wrong method of doing this. They should just open the gate from Silver Waste into Verdant Brink and put the story node on the other side. Then it really wouldn’t matter if you finished it or not, you would be able to get in.

"Establishing a Foothold" takes place in Verdant Brink. If your marker is pointing you down into the Tangled Lab in Silverwastes, ignore it and head back into VB. There are NPCs you need to talk to there to progress, after you unlock the initial gliding mastery.

Edit: If you aren’t sure how to get back into VB from Silverwastes, head into the cave next to the northwest side of Amber Sandfall.

Green swirls are just the nearest portal (if traveling on foot)to whatever area the next chapter of the story is located in. Always look for the green star (you can often just waypoint to somewhere near), instead.
