It’s a few minutes past start and the Revenant button is greyed out. I even restarted my whole computer. Anyone else in the beta having that problem?

I don’t see a “Create Beta Character” button either, just the beta slot with a regular Create and “Beta” stamped over a blank character select.

Same problem for me. I see some people already streaming with Revenant.

I just went back to the screen and now Create Beta Character is showing.

Same problem, here! I have a guildie making their toon now. But my “create” button is still grayed out! /sigh

Yep same for me too, my client hasn’t updated yet and i can’t create Revenant.

Leave it on the character slect bit and it will ungrey eventually. Looks like there is either a queue or they are letting ppl in a chunk at a time.

The revenant class is what’s greyed out every time I click on the Beta character space, choose create, then human like it says in the e-mail, and gender. At that point, revenant is not available.

I am having same problem. I see the beta slot but it won’t let me choose new profession. I have rebooted my computer as well.

Despite having received an invite, I don’t have a “Create [BETA]” button at all. I have the “BETA” character slot. But when you click on that everything is grayed out or missing.

Yeah I have a beta character slot, cannot click create when I select it.

Unless there’s literally a “Create Beta Character” button instead of the “Create” one that I have.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Or more to the current context, exit the game and start it up again?

Exit every time it fails. So we are waiting for a special beta create button?

Alright, I guess so. Just sitting at the character screen, the button eventually appeared.

Well, so far the stress test has been a laugh riot for those of us just watching the participants rather than participating directly.

Stay calm and test.

25 minutes in and I still can’t create revenant – profession still greyed out. Tried everything – let it sit there, back out and close client and go in again, rebooted computer. Nothing works.

Out of curiosity, can you make a character of any other profession for the test?

Having some folks fire up the new client and inspect the trait lines of other classes would probably be more useful to us and to ArenaNet than launching Revenant #40134…

I watched someone for a few minutes playing Guardian and he scanned the traits real fast and didn’t notice a change.

I can’t remember who it was. I have been bouncing around a lot of streams trying to get a bigger picture since everyone seems to be playing Rev.

Edit: I’m watching this person play Mesmer right now maybe they will check traits at some point.

Also having this problem. Got “Network error” after typing in the desired character name, and now I’m entirely locked out from the beta character slot. Restarting and relogging on alt toons or even alt account doesn’t help. The “Create Beta character” button is gone too.

I also can’t make a revenant. I just bought ultimate edition heart of thorns. I don’t know why. There is a beta character slot but I can’t create revenant profession. If someone know tell me how to create the revenant.

thread is 3 months old… and there is no beta up right now, thus you cant make anything in the beta slot…

Please upgrade your account to the super ultimate edition to unlock the Revenant.

I just tried this, I believe if you have the beta slot and and another unused character slot it lets you create a “beta” character, but then just moves them to the free slot since no beta is currently running.

I cannot make a revenant either, i urchased HoT last week and thought that it was only creatable on the weekends. but i was wrong. SO is there any solution to this problem yet?? Ireally want to play revenant

You can only create a beta character during beta.

The beta is only active during Beta Weekend Events, which will be announced when they will take place. You cannot make a revenant until such a beta weekend, there will be one more in the future, most likely at the start of october.

Oh no, I just realized … first weekend of October, I have to get set to get up way early in the morning Monday for jury duty. Second weekend, I have to be on a horrible diet for days and then get up early Monday for a medical procedure.

I’m doomed, beta-wise.
