Nah, you just summed up all the ways to get them already. Through living story (you do have to unlock it first), through some achievements, and through some collections.
There are no “channeled” mastery points on core maps.

Triple Trouble gives 4 in total iirc, 3 if you kill each of the wurms and another 1 if you finish all the achievements. Idk how I got my other points though they aren’t shown on my achievements tabs. :/ The other relatively easy ones I know of are the 1 from silverwastes where you have to complete the JP and another 1 from dry top where you have to kill the queen skritt which spawns at t4.
Yes, achieves are the way to go. Unfortunately anyone who has been in the game any length of time mostly only has ones left that they have been putting off doing for whatever reason. Say you do not do fractals, if you want those points you will have to use them.
I found a bug with them (and reported it) as well. According to the documentation I should have 25 points (or 24 since one achieve seems to be bugged). I only got 13 points, including not getting one after HOT went live (the first norn PS chapter, which I had not done before).

I can’t really tell you as I do not know exactly which achievements award mastery points since I did most of them. The best way is to look at your achievement panel and figure out which achievements that award the mastery points are worth doing.

So the RED points for Central Tyria how do we get more of them ?
i know that in the Heart of Maguma there are points(green points) on the map that if you find them ( like a vista) you click on it and you get them . is there any thing like this for Central Tyria ? i would like to get some more of the (RED points)
i looked in my achements and there are some purple storys that are all locked up , and some in basic collections /Rare Collections but supper hard to get
i would like to just do some thing to find them in the main land . let me know if any one has found a way to find them ore aquire them RED points

It’s a total money grabbing scumbag tactic. You get 16 points from completting the Living Story stuff but you have to pay like $20 to I lock it. The content was also originally free. So as a returning or new player you have to spend extra money to experience the full game and they do not warn you ahead of time. They basically force you to buy it because the Tyria Mastery points are so hard to get if you dont.
