Finally after waiting several days on the trading post, someone filled my Chak Egg Sac’s 10k order. Why are these things so rare? Does anyone have the information on the drop rate? Does ANet have plans to increase its drop rate in the future?

Anet never reveals drop rates, but it is save to assume, that the droprate is lower than getting a precursor.

Oh I see, do you think players are hoarding them? (not exactly a cheap item to hoard and it being 10k, there’s no room to make profit lol)

Not sure why they are rare. But it is probably to make them more valuable. It is a pretty nice effect (to me at any rate)

Well it rare because of how often players do TD and it being a low drop rate. I have done more of the other map than TD. Their are few achievements or long term rewards from doing the TD meta.

It is a very rare drop, also the person getting the item from Gerent, might not have enough gold to put it on the TP.

For the 10.000 gold offer, you need to have 1.500 gold just to be able to sell it.
(I wouldn’t risk asking for gold from friends or guild mates, as there is a chance of being flagged for sending/receiveng gold etc.)

A couple of egg sacs were sold on TP in the past few days though ^^
