Guild Wars 2

I will probably buy HoT in week or two – I have played GW2 for quite a long time but burned out 2 or 3 months back, however need some game to play through Christmas and even though there is LOT of negativity about HoT in the air it still seems to be my main candidate for at least 2 weeks of Christmas fun
Anyway – during my time in GW I have played mainly War and Mesmer. However I do have also lev 80 Necro, Engi & Guard… and also enough tomes to have 2 other 80 if I want to. I have also materials ready for set of ascended armor&weapons of my choice. And my question is – what to play according to these:

- 70% time solo open world
- 20% WvWvW
- 10% Dungeons/Fractals
- like GS visuals a lot (actually my only legendary is GS)
- loved conditions even though I have not played these for a looong time – my first class when GW2 came out was staff Mesmer
- want to be top dps
- in MMORPG I generally prefer ranged chars – but was not playing it in GW as it was not competitive
- one build – one eqiup set – not willing to switch these
- perma run speed without recasting

Especially last 2 points are mandatory for me… and rest would be nice to have but I can manage

So what would you suggest me to try?

There’s condition engineers with viper armor/weapons and sinister trinkets. They’re great for sustained encounters. The existing meta build has perma swiftness as you gain this by swapping between kits.

There’s reaper for necro if you don’t mind melee. It’ll let you use your GS and is a great class to solo with a lot of sustain.

Ranger/Druid
can use GS has perm run speed multiple ways -skills and traits-
Good condition to if you use the weapons for it -not longbow-
And imo The best solo class + now we have tuns of heals

Based on the last 2 mostly I would say elementalist. Air atunement itself gives nice speed, plus can add with traits and if not enough passive signets… ele is also great pds, ranged, can do conditions (not pure conditions tho, other classes already excel at this) and soloing depends on the build, but they are versatile enough to do damage while staying alive.

Do Ele because Ele is awsome.
Because ele.

How hard is it to switch traits?
