Guild Wars 2

So I have this Jade Maw Lense and some quartz crystals in my inventory. However, double clicking on the lense does nothing. Doesn’t even equip it. I decided to go try getting some “light” on a vet basilisk and the vet wind rider as my first test subjects.

I find the vet basilisk but nothing happened when he attacked me even though I double clicked the lens as its tool tip says in order to use it. What I ended up having to do was keep my inventory bag open while getting the attention of the basilisk, then I had to right click the item for it to work at all.

Same thing with the vet wind rider in Brisbane Wildlands. Apparently there is no way to get this to work unless you have your inventory open and right click on the lense in order for it to collect the light from their attacks.

How lame is that? I would have expected it to work as an equipped item as long as I had the quartz crystals in my inventory along with the lense.

So how did anyone else get this silly thing to work for them if not this cumbersome method?

If this is how to do it….I would say the dev who designed this really needs to go back to learn how to make some thing like this work properly. A setup designed this way is really a terrible way to do this.
