The Heart of Thorns soundtrack is amazing. So can we please have some way to disable the (mostly average) combat music that kicks in when we initiate combat? That would be fantastic.

I believe you can put your own custom music in for any music slot in the game. Since I always prefer game music, I haven’t figured out the details but the option’s been in since launch.

I am aware of that, but it is not really a fix. I want to hear the existing music, not have it overwritten by something else.

A way to disable combat music would be best, so that the zone’s music keeps playing.

It’s a place holder. It’s a beta. In the last POI episode they explained that the new combat music will be more complex based on how fights escalate and dissipate.

Download the HoT (or any other GW2 tracks you like) music from the official soundcloud page, make a music list, replace the combat music for it, and voila! Custom HoT soundtrack music.

Seems like a simple fix, just pump in some Rammstein. Problem solved
