So What is up with commander armor recipe drop rate. They are very very rare and now costing 70 gold on Trading post? That is abit to rare and to high price. And why the new stats are not in the bladed armor and other new armor sets is rather odd too. The drop rate of some of the armor recipes needs to be reworked. Or give other ways of getting the stats.

Do the leystone have commander stats? Or are they just wanderer’s? I do agree that the recipes are entirely too rare. I don’t think I’ve ever actually had a recipe book drop for commander stats.

Get the recipe for exotic insignias, and stat change your ascended gear into commander stats with the insignia and inscriptions.

You buy the insignia recipe with 50 crystalline ore.

DO NOT BUY ASCENDED RECIPES. Buy the exotic one, ascended insignias are a massive waste of gold not remotely worth it. Stat swapping ascended gear with exotic insignias is far more gold efficient.

Just to make sure, can one change ascended gear into the new 4 stats prefixes with the mystic forge without having to craft it that way? Simply by using an exotic insignia/inscription? What is the freaking point of adding fulgurite and all the other garbage to the ascended recipes then? LOL

It is literally pointless. It would make sense if crafting those sets has unique skins. It wouldn’t surprise me if that was the original plan and then someone in monetization said “nah, cut 80% of the armor and repurpose it as gem store skins.”

Unless its jewelry, ALWAYS just craft the cheapest ascended gear and re-stat it. If it’s jewelry… good luck!

Yup, before I checked some months ago, I bought the Viper insignia and inscription ascended recipes for 1200 aurillium total.

Then I checked the mats list, and it’s outright outrageous.

Not only because of the fulgurite, but other way more expensive mats as well. They really put no thought into this.

Yup, you sure can. This is how I’ve gotten my viper’s gear on my necro – just changing out stats on random ascended drops I didn’t want via the forge and exotic viper’s insigs.

Fulgurite still has it’s uses though, for those that make the gen2 legendaries → cystalline ingots for the gift of maguuma mastery. Other components are used for assorted guild hall upgrades.

As someone that’s not exactly rolling in gold or these materials, I like having the mystic forge option.
