The questions are divided in sections, with a few suggested topics for each.


Technical details (New system requirements, Content patch cadence until release, future and integration of the Living World with the new content)

  • When’s the next content patch? Are we getting anything next Tuesday?
  • How much of the expansion will be available for those who don’t buy it?
  • Any progress on bringing back Living World season 1?
    *Any word about the return of old content, like Super Adventure Box, or the removed encounters from Living World season 1? (Tower of Nightmares, Twisted Marionnete, Battle for Lion’s Arch, etc)
  • Does the game have a beginning and an end to the Mordrem menace? Or will the story and zones unfold through LW chapters?

PvE open world (New region: Heart of Maguuma, Masteries)

  • How many zones has the new region, and what’s their complete approximate size compared to the original game’s size?
  • Are masteries limited in any way by choice, or can you get 100% on everything?
  • All of the new zones will be level 80? Any kind of new content for <80?
  • Does each region have its own masteries? Are they usable beyond that specific region? Will classic regions get mastery systems too?

PvE instances (Dungeons, Personal Story, Raids)

  • No words about new dungeons? Updates to classic dungeon? New AI improvements?
  • Will the fight against Mordremoth be available at release? Will it be dungeon format, instanced raid format, open world raid format, or any combination of them?
  • Any new planned maps for Fractals of the Mist? Will the Living World season 1 removed content make it into FotM? Any word on new levels beyond 50?

New PvP mode: Stronghold

  • How many maps will the new Stronghold mode have?
  • Will Guild Halls be used on these maps in any way?
  • Any word on new maps for Conquest mode?

New WvW mechanics (New map, updates to original maps)

  • Will the three original Borderlands maps get any update to make them all different from each other?
  • Will there be any change regarding server membership for WvW participation? Will the current server=side model stay as it is?

Social improvements (Guild Halls, Guild Missions)

  • Will we be able to choose between different locations for our Guild Hall? Will it be located in the open world, or in the Mists?
  • Any word about new guild missions for the existing ones, or new guild mission modes?

New profession: Revenant

  • Will the new profession have any difference from the original professions on leveling? Will the new revenant players start at the same areas than the rest of the professions, and share the same Personal Story by joining an order and fighting Zhaitan? Or will they join at a different phase of the story, considering Rytlock is the first of them?
  • In what way, if any, are Revenants related to GW1’s ritualists and dervishes?

Original profession improvements (Specializations, New traits and skills)

  • Will taking a specialization path remove the option to go back to the original profession? Do you need a new character for each profession specialization, or can one single character master them all and later on switch between them?
  • Any changes to the trait system? Any word about new traits? Improved elites?
  • Any word on new weapons, like greataxes or polearms?
  • Has anything been done to improve underwater combat? Will underwater weapons be now usable on land?
  • Is there any change planned for the meta? Any improvements beyond power builds, specially for condition damage?

Other questions

  • Are Chef and Jeweler 500 planned for the close future?
  • Any numbers on new weapon and armor skin quantities?
  • Any words on salvaging ascended trinkets? (Specially rings) And what about infusing amulets and earrings?
  • Will the new legendary weapons use the same basic recipe of gifts of fortune and mastery, or will different things be used instead?
  • Will current precursors be craftable or will it be restricted to the new ones?
  • Any plans on gem store or other source race/profession change?
