IMO pointless to keep this with the Chronomancer trait that makes Mesmers move faster, already was a mostly useless to begin with. For people who don’t know what I’m talking about, Compounding Celerity makes you move faster for each active illusion the Mesmer has up or in other words only moving faster in combat and is for only running forward.

It isn’t redundant, because it isn’t located in the same trait line. It allows you to gain movement speed without the use of the Chronomancer line – and this will be more significant when additional elite specializations are added.

Now, if you want to look at an actual redundant trait, Purity of Body (Guardian – Honor). It’s invalidated roughly half the time by another minor trait in the same line.

If the new specialization system is supposed to be about hard choices, then that’s just a sacrifice they’d have to be willing to make if they want certain perks. Make people have to go down certain trait lines to get certain things. If Mesmer players want the movement speed buff, they have to sepc to Chronomancer over other elite specializations or normal specializations. or simply accept they can’t get that if they want another elite specialization.

Edit: Better yet, just merge this trait with the new Chronomancer trait, well the part not related to movement speed per illusion anyway.
