Confirmation for Subscribing
It is fine, they’ve said there’s no confirmation email after all. The only way you can check is if people start talking about a received email that you didn’t get.
There have been no emails since the Stress Beta invite.
There is a confirmation email despite what they’ve said, and if you don’t accept it, you will not be registered. Whether you’re registered or not can easily be confirmed by trying to signup again. If you’re not registered, it’ll continue to state that a confirmation email has been sent. If you are registered however, it’ll say something different.
If you were signed up for the original GW2 newsletter, you were already signed up for the HoT one, since it’s the same thing.
Either their system is bugged or certain email providers have classified them as spam, the kind that never makes it to you. If this happens to you, you’ll be signed up yet never receive any of the emails. If you’re chosen for beta, you will never be notified, but you will have a beta slot on your account.
it gives me a different message than the “check for confirmation email” one
You are signed up.
Odd. I’ve never received any kind of confirmation email (or other kind of email when registering any of my email addresses), yet I continue to receive all the Newsletters. I guess if certain emails are blocked, they certainly all aren’t necessarily so.
I suppose it matters little, since there is a sure-fire way to determine if you can play in a Stress Test/Beta. =)
If you are already suscribed to the regular newsletter, you will not get a confirmation e-mail for signing up to the beta newsletter. This is because they are the same mailing list =)
I’ve never gotten a confirmation, or any type of newsletter either. Frankly not sure if I’m truly subscribed or not even though I’ve followed the instructions multiple times.
I never received confirmation when I signed up for the newsletter post-HoT announcement (it was the first time I signed up for any GW related newsletter) and I still got beta invite. It never went into my spam filter either.
