I haven’t seen or found a straight answer so i’m asking it myself.

What all is available to those that haven’t bought the Heart of Thorns expansion?
I really want to know these specifically but all is appreciate.

Is the new profession available?
Are the new specializations available?
Is the new PvP available?

What’s locked behind HoT :

Revenant
Elite Spec
New PvE maps and everything related to them
Mastery system
level 50+ Fractals

What’s not locked by HoT and can be played without it :

New WvW borderland
New Stronghold pvp mode
Precursor crafting, and a bunch of the new collections
Action camera

I think Guild Halls can be acceded even by players without HoT but I’m not sure about that.

In order to do the specializations you gave to farm 400 hero points. Don’t expect to be able to but the game and immediately unlock new abilities.

Well, you can use them immediately in PvP
