I crafted spark and I have to say that I love the precursor crafting system. Its a lot of fun, interesting and I can break up my costs into manageable chunks as I create the precursor in pieces.

After I created my incinerator I noticed that I could make a second precursor by buying the parts that I had received when I completed my collections earlier. I spent a significant amount of time searching the forums, the wiki, and doing searches on the web to find out if it was possible to craft a second precursor. I could not find any information and I could see that I definitely had everything that I needed aside from the parts that I needed to craft such as the 26 deldrimor steel ingots, 10 elonian leather squares, etc.

Since I couldn’t see any reason not to I started crafting my second precursor. The costs that I listed above are not cheap to me. I think I have been crafting the parts for about 1.5+ months. Today I finished it. Well, I should say I crafted everything up to the last piece. I had craft 2 tiers of spark, salvaging both of them and craft all components of the final tier of spark. When I went to put those pieces together I finally get a message stating that I have already crafted that item and I cannot craft it. Ridiculous.

Okay, I am not going to debate whether we should be limited to one precursor of each type. That is a subject for another thread. My point here is that there should have been a warning somewhere before crafting every last piece and then saying I cannot craft the precursor. This is hundreds of gold & months of work for a player like me. There was no warning until it was all crafted into account bound items that have no use.

Ridiculous.

I am not planning on destroying those items any time soon, they are too valuable and I hope that something will be done about this, I am probably not the first person to have this happen and I am sure I will not be the last. I am hoping that some kind of fix will be put in such as reverting the crafted items to their previous components so that I can recover my crafting materials or my preference would be that they remove the one time limit on precursor crafting.

I did my due diligence, I looked into this topic extensively beforehand. There was no warning about being unable to craft the final step. Not even in the final step until you have done everything except click craft.

Something needs to be done to fix this.

While there is enough information out there to indicate that you can only craft them once, they could grey out the recipes after you’ve crafted them or something I suppose.

Contact support. They’ve helped other people who attempted to craft a second precursor.

@Ayrilana.1396 Thank you for pointing these out. I did actually read both the wiki page and the blog, however each says like 1 sentence about a crafting limit well into each article. However, your correct the information is searchable and I missed it.

However, the point of the single crafting limit being hard to find is really a side point. The main point is that after you craft one precursor and then you go back and look everything over again, it seems apparent that you can craft another precursor because you can craft everything up to the precursor and even the extra materials that you get for completing collections are available. When you look at crafting a second precursor in game it seems intuitive and clear that you can make another one as everything is there.

The OP is correct: you should be warned in the game that you can only make one of each precursor per account.
