Ok I have to start with saying that to me the overall feel of the Daredevil is appealing , I like the mechanics and some of his abilities are really cool, the devs made a really good job with it!
A polishing of all the abilities is needed though, like some other guys pointed out on the forum, but I will not repeat the same that they said.
My crit is more on the animation side of the staff. I tried the Daredevil on all the races and it always feels like it’s swinging the staff like a mage would do, rotating it in mid air in front of himself, too magical and not enough phisical.
Also the idle animation feels weird with the staff since it seems he’s using a heavy weapon like a hammer or a greatsword instead of an agile staff.
I would suggest to rework some of the animations, going for more interesting and unique poses and figures and maybe save the already good ones. A good inspiration would be the Bo staff combat techniques.
I know, you’re trying to keep it cheap, reworking all the animations will take time and you’re releasing soon but the final result would be amazing, don’t you think?

An other critique is for the second skill of the staff where, if I drop near the target but I’m not facing it the daredevil will just stand there, not using the auto attack. I think that the skill should let the daredevil drop in the same direction of the selected foe so that the combat isn’t interrupted, or at least if the Daredevil is near enough to the selected foe it should turn and continue with the auto attack

I hope this helps!
Keep up the good work!

This I fully all agree with. I was thinking monkey form staff would be pretty epic and appropriate.
Drunken staff maybe? Hm.
I guess my point is that there are some great forms in gungfu which employ staff and have some of the same whirls.
I would like to see some more martial feeling in the new physical skills and staff, yes. Though Vault feels great!

: Crane staff

: Monkey staff

: Drunken staff

There are easily found videos of both gungfu and taichi forms for Mantis, Tiger, Seven Star sets which might help smooth out animations

Just my two cents: I like the Daredevil! The only quibble I would have on animations is that he carries the staff like it’s a baby when he’s running. I think I’d carry it more like a stick, in one hand (hey’ I’m a thief, I’m very dexterous), and grab on with the second hand when entering combat. Personally I like that spinning animation on the first skill. It fits a thief/daredevil – flamboyant. :-) And, (yes, I’m slow) I finally figured out that the 3/2 skill combo works quite well. I’d like to see a bit more “umph” on skill 4 though as far as the animation goes. 5 is awesome of course. And personally, I love the “Impaling Lotus” upgraded dodge bit. Did NOT care for the “Unhindered Combatant” dodge thing – but that’s just me. All in all, I think this is a trait I will definitely play.

Stick to the plan AND Go with the flow.

Other crits on the animations:
- Parring with Bandit’s Defence makes the weapo disappear
-using fist flurry makes the weapon disappear.
For the first one would be better to see the weapon in one hand I think and for the second one just put the weapon stowed for the duration of the skill but I guess it is the same as other skills on other professions…
