So I was really enjoying HOPE collections until now. In 4rd collection you are forced to fail events in order to 50/50 chance to spawn event what you need to spawn Champion Risen Wraith (and you also need enough ppl to scale it up). Lyssa event respawn is like 2 hours and ppl always come to do it too early so minimal chance to do that. This is incredibly unfun and frustrating.
Champion Risen Wraith spawn on other events too so what it dont drop also there? This has need to change.

Please ANET, consider changing the need to Fail events in order for people to acquire precursors and whatever else they require. This completely goes against the premises upon which the game was founded: cooperation between players and playing the game however you want.
Yes, I know there have already been threads on this topic, but I seriously feel this is something ANET needs to address, and soon.
Earlier I landed in Snowden Drifts, saw that an event appeared to be in progress and decided to join in, only to be told to let it fail. I was happily enough to comply, there were no hard feelings, and the general consensus was that ANET is to blame for creating the whole mess. I’m not typically one to slam ANET; overall I feel they have created a unique and amazing game. However, I do think they rather dropped the ball on this one.

Requiring events to fail in order to achieve a goal is an issue that Anet was informed of by the players a long time ago, yet they continue to require it for new things. It’s mind boggling.

Kind of have to agree with this, forcing players to fail events in order to progress seems ridiculous.

You would think they would have learned something about rewarding failed eventsover the past 3 years.

About a year ago I was taking a character through its personal story. I got to Arah story mode. It was closed. I got into a rather heated argument with someone who wanted to fail the Arah opening event because he could get more gold by having it repeat. The worst part is that he didn’t seem to even understand me saying that I simply didn’t care about the gold.
There is an event chain up in Frostgorge sound that players need to complete for the living story. It used to be that it restarted quicker if failed, so players would want to fail so they could farm the chain. Which was annoying for people wanting to progress the personal story.
ANET changed that so that failing it would cause it to restart quicker. Removing the incentive for failing it. So they knew that rewarding failure was a bad thing then
