Decoration Cap in Guildhalls
The guild hall is supposed to be a place of fun! There is so much open space to fill it with all kinds of things. With the cap on item decorations it really hinders the personal aspect of the Guild Hall. Below I attached a picture of some decorating I have done in my Guild Hall. I can’t place anything else within or around the area. The cap for item decorations should really be looked at again and be increased!
I made a jumping puzzle for our guild hall, and it had to be deleted to make space for more visible decorations. Why is the cap so low? Unacceptable.
Because not everyone has supercomputers.
I made a crazy wall of 50 plus lanterns and people were basically saying that it was looking great but FPS was getting really low walking around. And that was well within the cap.
I don’t think is just as easy as to up the cap without risking people blowing up their computers. Now that would be unacceptable.

According to ANet dev Zachary Stiers
The maximum number of decorations is 1000.
I did not write this code so I unfortunately do not have a definite answer to this, but I think this number is based on a technical constraint.

I didn’t realize there was a max cap. That is a little sad. I wanted to spruce up my guild hall with some more plants and things.
I’m more concerned about the price of the decorations though. 50 silver is a little pricey for a potted plant or a wooden torch.

Based on other posts by the devs, they are a little sad about that too. However, it’s a technical limitation that probably won’t be easily resolved.
