I bought Heart of thorns(normal edition) and I want to upgrade to deluxe because deluxe edition is now on sale but the deluxe upgrade is not on sale so it’s still expensive for me to buy does anyone know why this is or if they’re gonna throw it on sale too?

Upgrades never go on sale, as far as I can remember, as they are able to be purchased at no cost via Gems.

That’s not true, the deluxe upgrade to core was on sale at least once.

Try contacting support, they may ask you to upgrade through store and refund you the difference.

Well, in that case, you probably only need to wait a couple of years. I doubt the Upgrade sale was within the first year. I seem to remember threads about the same issue the first time the Core game went on sale.

The CS Team may be able to help, but don’t be too disappointed if they can not.

Not sure they could as they would be in effect discounting the gems that come with it

Deluxe, unlike Ultimate, does not come with gems, instead the upgrade is paid in gems. The core game deluxe upgrade did go on sale but that was not the first or second time there was a sale. At the time it went on sale the core game was being sold for $10. So, when HoT sells for that, maybe we’ll get a sale on the upgrade too. Or who knows, the anniversary gemstore sale does happen next month.

They do, but not often, the core game upgrade was on sale last year for the game anniversary. So HoT’s upgrade might do that at some point too.
