Do I need two copies of HoT?
So I had purchased the a 2nd account in anticipation of HoT. Will I need two copies of HoT to get the content on my 2nd account? I don’t really want to refund it because I had made some progress on two toons already.
If you bought it after jan 25 I believe you can’t get a upgrade to HoT.
You’ll need to purchase a copy of HoT for every account you want to upgrade.

So – yes, you need two copies of HoT if you want HoT on two accounts. However, assuming you bought the second account between Jan 23 and Jun 16 this year, and you prepurchase HoT expansion for it, you will either get automatically your money back from the GW2 purchase (if you bought it from GW2 website) OR you get free character slot (if you bought it from third party retailer). Also notice that if you bought your GW2 from the web site, you must buy HoT from website or in-game store also, to get the automatic refund.
If you purchase HoT from third party retailer, make sure it’s pre-purchase and not pre-order. There’s difference between those two. Pre-order will not give you any bonuses or refunds.
If you bought the account before Jan 23 this year, it counts as veteran account, and you get character slot if you pre-purchase, regardless of where you bought GW2 or HoT. If you bought the account after Jun 16, there’s no bonuses.
