Do we SPOILER SPOILER since he SPOILER?
Please change your title since your spoiler is entirely in the title itself, not in your post.
As to the question, they can probably find another administrative general to chain to a desk while the Commander keeps gadding about.
Nah I can still lead from the field like Rytlock did. We’d be a more hands on and direct Marshall.
Mez, that title has a spoiler in it. smh.
EDIT: actually, i love that it works both ways. you are saying, “hey! don’t read this thread. it’s a spoiler. and the title itself totally works because you are also saying, this thing that follows spoiler is the actual thing i’m spoiling.”
kudos!
Probably not. I suspect this will be the excuse to disband the Pact and return to utilising the Orders more properly. Unifying them took a lot of distinction and flavour from the Orders. I understand why they did that, I just think it is better for the game to personalise the story a bit depending on your Order.
And yes, putting the actual spoiler after the word spoiler seems rather redundant…

Laranthir can be the secretary.
What’s on the agenda today Laranthir? Pact reconstruction manifests…er…you can take care of those right? Automated Ration Request Forms? I don’t even know what that is. Isn’t it…automated? Just get rid of that. Pact siege plans in Fireheart Rise? Why is the Pact even there. Move them to Frostgorge! General assembly meeting? I’m kinda busy…take care of that won’t you. A Dragon Champion needs slaying somewhere?! I’m on it! Hold my calls I’m out of the office for the next few weeks!

It’s been over a month. I think we’re good on the spoilers now. Still, it would be the polite thing to do, anyway…
And no, we are not. Everyone knew and loved Trahearne. Everyone trusted Trahearne. Everyone followed Trahearne.
A lot of them are dead, now.
I think, perhaps, there will be a review of the pact leadership structure before a new leader and advisers are appointed so something like this does not happen again.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.

How would people not trust us? (Only Cera hates me because of Tonn) We do have the most experience against the dragons (with Destiny ’s Edge broken).

How would people not trust the one that went mind to mind with the ELDER DRAGON of MIND, and somehow came out and said they beat it with no side effects? Easily.
More to the point, though, is that Trahearne was appointed in part because he knew so much about Orr. Part of the reason the Pact got torn apart is because they kept following him, and he knew next to nothing about Mordremoth.
What I expect is that each order will appoint one person that knows the most about whatever dragon we face next, and have them in a council to lead what’s left of the Pact. We might be the highest ranking person in the field, but we’ll still have orders coming to us from this council. Only when they can’t agree will we be the ones to make the final choice. (Or when we ignore them and act on our own.)

^ True, a pact council would make more sense. I just want the player to be more involved in a strategic take down of the next one.

Actually, they appointed Trahearne because the player said, you should appoint him cause reasons. They accepted because he knew about Orr and they respected him. He proved himself as leader, which is why they followed him against Mordremoth. There was no Trahearne version intellect for Mordremoth anyway, no one knew about the jungle, nor the dragon. The only person who could possibly have told anyone anything was knocked out before the pact even mobilized.

Can I opt out of this Pact Marshall position? I just want to be a freelance adventurer and monster slayer. I’ll do missions for the pact if they pay me. I don’t need subordinates to lick my boots and tell me how great it is to see me.
I’ve never felt like a commander at all. I felt more like the pact wetwork guy. i get pointed in a direction to kill something and i kill it. there were few times i felt like the commander of a large millitary force, a couple missions in orr and thats it. personally id be happy just going on a freelance slaughterfest with Destiny’s edge 2.0 and stuff. i hardly ever commanded anyone anyway. it was more like i was a fixer sent to make sure the job didnt go balls-up
