I’m very curious to know what the downside to specialized classes will be, are they going to be locked out of their regular abilities? Or does it simply grant you bonus skills to chose from.

Basically, if there is only going to be one specialization per class on release is every Ranger going to be a Druid? Or is it true to name, and Druids have access to only druid skills. (Wayy easier to balance but far more rigid.)

Change to traits and some utilitie skills I believe. Depending what your doing you may not actually want to be a druid but instead a ranger. That way the game can be more diverse were it might be very helpful to have a druid and ranger in a party vs 2 druids or 2 rangers

New weapon, Traits, skills, and mechanics.

The downside is you’re learning a new class.

As far as we know, each Prof will get 1 Spec in HoT. More Specs can always be added later on (and not necessarily in expansion packs or other paid content; in LS, or some other free content).

I want to know if Specs can use more an the new weapon. Example Druid with great sword or Druid with Warhorn.

Also what’s the relation of Specs and dual classes? Because I heard them talked about in the same breath.. So I would assume the classes’s specs are based on another class in the game. Example Druid may be Ranger mixed with Elementalist elements.
