Dragon Selfie!
I would actually have fun with this and see myself doing it daily.
Sounds like a fun pvp mode. I could see it where the player picks up a ‘bundle’ that changes their avatar and grants new skills, but it drops when the player is defeated. So whoever picks it up gets transformed, gains 10 seconds of invincibility while everyone else is crippled and must defend themselves from being killed.
So there are two kinds of players, the ‘Dragon’ who gains points based on how long they survive in combat, while the ‘Slayers’ are players who gain points based on the damage they inflict against the ‘Dragon’ player. At the end of the game, there are two winners, the Slayer who gets the most points and the Dragon who survived the longest.
For pve this would be exploited by smart players. Cool idea, just need a well thoughtful design to limit the exploitation possibility of this kind of gameplay.
It could be a mini game or a guild hall game. Then no worries about exploiters.
I’ve always thought eotm should have a once a day world event where you had to kill a giant dragon of some sort and the three sides had to work together
Yes, it would have to be instanced for it to work.
Otherwise play Evolve. Or Rampage if you’re into the classics.
Crystal Desert
Always thought it would be an awesome feature if they allowed people to control some NPCs. Course I can also hear the rage as a map full of people get wiped. I mean come on if the Shatterer ever took one step to the right it would wipe a good 50 people. Course even if they allowed some monster play as Veterans in random map events that would be an interesting feature. Event: Hunt down the crazed Grawl Shaman in Timberlane falls. Map prompts players in some random order if they want to assume that role and then spawns them in a random spot in the map for 15 minutes. Players hunting earn a chest on finding and killing beasty. Player earns rewards for out running crowd and more for killing players. Oh the chaos. Add to it have other vet spawn and travel with the player controlled one and let the good times roll.
De Mortuis Nil Nisi Bonum.
A contest for the best selfie with <insert dragon here> would be interesting…
Didn’t you know we already have playable dragons? (No, not my character so can’t take credit for it).
Sounds like a classic match of Juggernaut, with a Guild Wars 2 twist.
