Dear arenanet, your system is so stupid, you spend 2 hours in dragon stand to fight final boss and when he is at 0.1% you get “error, send to arenanet”, then you realize you just waste your last 2hours. Its terrible. 0 reward for so much effort.

You would think that spend 2 to 3 hours killing that thing would atleast be worth one full bar of mastery. You spend the entire time killing mobs with little down time. You kill countless Champs and legendaries, and you might get half a bar. That’s with finishing the map and killing the dragon. When the map fails you get nothing.

The mobs should give more xp.

I just did a 20 minute event on the second map, and after completion i just got a tiny bit of xp on my bar. This is so useless, endless event grinding to get all my skills. Please no.

That’s pretty Draconian, they should at least reward you for time spent; if you gyp people out of anything after working for 2 hours you’re just going to encourage them to spend their time else where ( but then they’ve already got your $50 so what does it matter).

Umm….thats not a DC code….thats a full map code. Meaning your party was on another megaserver instance that was full preventing you from joining them….

That’s the poster’s character after logging back in to find he cannot enter the map he was on before.

Megaserver should really reserve your slot in the server for a short duration if you DC. Not sure if they can detect the difference between that and logging off though. It’s one of those ideas that is great in theory.

I think the overarching problem here is not so much Dragon Stand itself, but the idea that there is no recompense for DCing in the middle of an event. IF you’re in a party and IF you’re lucky, you can get back in. Otherwise, you are just screwed out of whatever event you were working on, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

It’s not very friendly to connection issues.

Or words to that effect.

Until the crashing issues have been worked out it’s definitely a waste of time to run Dragon’s Stand. I’ve crashed more since HoT came out than all the years of GW1 and vanilla GW2 combined.

I feel like I’m at the same point concerning the crash frequency.
I have managed to complete both Tarir and Dragon’s Stand, both times with more than 3 crashes (within 1 meta event!).

In both cases i managed to get into the same map while doing the event thanks to an anti-DC party (which is the saddest way of encouraging partys in an MMO I’ve ever seen).

But in both cases the game crashed again upon event completion. While i still got my reward chests that appear above your minimap upon rejoining, i was unable to get into the same map, even tho i had a party there, and was therefor unable to get further rewards from chests and the skillpoints located in that area.

The thing that annoys me maybe the most is, these events (especially DS) are incredible fun and beating them was a blast, but i don’t even have time to celebrate and be happy, because my game immediately crashes, sending me cursing and facepalming instead of being happy.

These crashes need to be resolved, and quickly at that.

Absolutely agree. I really like this event and I want to celebrate when I complete it. But instead there’s a crash and the ending is bittersweet at best. (I’m playing Ranger at that, trying to get a Tiger which only spawns after a successful run)

It’s not a good thing that players like me start associating this map with disconnections and unrewarded effort rather than the blast that it actually is when everything’s working as intended.
