Dragon Stand - bad meta event design
I feel like the countdown for this map should only begin after the map has become ‘active’
Or, better yet, have a bar like the silverwastes – “Mordremoth’s Ley-energy accumulated”
Once you’ve started the map, it begins to slowly tick up (over perhaps 30 min?). As you take objectives, you drain the bar/slow its progression. Once you’ve disabled the three ley harvesters the bar stops ticking up.
i get the impression the original design was that there would always be a surge of people in Dragon’s Stand because you had to ‘break in’ by completing the Tangled Depths meta.

God, can you imagine if that was the only way to unlock the portal?
only like 500 people in the world would have ever set foot in dragonstand
I have finally done 2 runs of Dragon Stand, and I am disappointed. One succeeded and one failed. In both cases, that running around in circles, to keep Preservers and Ley line Pods down, is totally ridiculous. There is no enjoyment, and I have never seen so much insulting and verbal back biting in this game, because the timer is going, one or two lanes ‘may’ complete first. I saw a lot of people drop out and hang back because they were sick of running in circles that never seemed to end. New comers are confused as hell. Commanders give up, someone tries to reorganize, but there is no time to tell anyone what the heck is going on, or what plan of attack would work best. (and for the insulters of ‘newbies’, there will always be newbies.) I ‘could see’ if you had a group at each pod, and one group on the tower guard, you could make the current system smoother, but who in the world could organize 15 separate groups of strangers?! (5 per lane) I could also see, if there was a limit to how often the Preservers could re-pop, then the current timer could work? I thought Triple Trouble was problematic enough, but I can’t see Dragon Stand, as it is, ever becoming popular. I won’t go back unless I am ‘forced’ to for a certain drop. Silver Wastes works, because the map isn’t so huge, and one lane can still complete the meta Events, if the other two are holding strong. That said, I like the way they developed final show down with Mordremoth. That is a creative final battle and sure got my hand gliding skills improved in a hurry.
I’m a new comer to this Dragon Stand event and let me tell you what I like. First of all, I was confused, I didn’t understand what was going on. BUT, they make it very, very simple and easy to get back to the event if you die. After doing this event a couple times, I figured out some of it.
Concentrate on mobs with “X” over their head. Don’t attack any other mobs. Stay in a concentrated group hopefully with a strong commander. Keep moving, do not stay behind, and sorry to say, no way to help rev downed players. They can rez up and get in the event quickly and easily.
I really like the Dragon Stand map. I love the event. It’s a great way to grind our exp for leveling. It’s challenging and it fills my bags with much need materials and pleasantly surprisingly valuable items too.
Don’t give up on the map. Don’t get discouraged if no stops to rez, they really can’t. They’re not being jerks. It’s easy to rev up and get back to the event. The path is clear, you don’t need to fight mobs delaying you from getting back to the event.
Final boss fight is ok. But really bad design is a events before.
Follow the line, kill mobs, few bosses, collect junk. Boring. TD events, for example, much more better.

I did really enjoy all the lead in events for TD. The meta finale i have never seen attempted, but the storytelling in the indidual event chains leading in was pretty good.
