What is the matter with this map? Why does no one ever want to do it?

There are hardly ever any available group to do it.

Just wondering.

Map chat always seems to yield incoherent answers.

Graey Mance-Iron Legion Engineer.
There when you need him.

for dragon stand, the matter is not which “group”, it’s “which map”.

If ya no longer see me after this post,
it means THEY got me for " neg criticism in clever disguise".
Know that it has been fun and I love ya all.

You have to show up right after reset. Then you either tag up and rally others to taxi players in or use the LFG and taxi yourself into a map that is running the meta. Players cannot zone in at their discretion and expect to play the map. I’m not fond of the system but it is what it is.

Here is how you do DS:

A few minutes before the map is due to open (see http://dulfy.net/2015/11/09/gw2-hot-maps-timer-famme/ for when that will be until you memorize it, eg for me on the US East Coast it is half past every even hour) go to the arrival WP.

There may be someone forming a squad already, if so, join it and remember who the commander is. If not, stand ready.

The map will close. You will be killed (unless you have auto-shroud, as my Reaper does, usually she just gets tossed into shroud form). You will be put into a new map in a pile of other dead people.

Immediately select the squad commander in the squad ui if you have one and select Join In Dragon’s Stand to get to their map if you are not already with them. If you do not have a squad, immediately open LFG and watch like a hawk for “DS Taxi” groups, preferably “with commanders/tags” in their listings. These fill faster than you can move your cursor so you have to be lucky and not have too many other open world LFGs going on. Join your taxi group in Dragon’s Stand.

You should now be in a map that is organized. Head to your preferred lane or to the one calling for help in Map, leave party/squad, and join the local lane commander’s squad.

Enjoy your next 1.5 hours!

I was thinking about to create a topic especially about Dragon’s Stand.
I’m worried too about it. Not now but like 6 months from now, when all maps gets empty and turns into a ghost town.

Don’t get me wrong, Dragon’s Stand is the best organization meta for me except Mordremoth dies too easily. I was expecting to kill him should be harder, especially if you think, you get there about 1 hour or so.

You need 3 organised squads that you can break in at same time.
If one fails, all fail idea one thing among other reasons I’m amazed like Tarir and Chak. It’s very well thought design as I said.

But what will happen 6 months from now when you create an alt or a new account wants to do it and you see most of the players got bored from doing same META over and over? And you won’t get another expansion then if you consider we got our hot content “HoT” after 3 years.

You want to know what’s ridiculous and embarrassing?

That you have to do this to play the game the way it was meant to be played.

Does this bother nobody? Am I the only one?

How does an open-world spontaneously dynamic game have to resort to this kitten -hattery to function and simply PLAY?

Nobody enjoys playing Taxi Wars 2, although most just go through the motions and don’t even think much about it anymore. If Anet would allow us to select between instances as easily as we could in GW1, life would be so much easier for everyone. But I’m not holding my breath that they will ever improve the system.

Usually a single tag on the map can get things started. There’s a lot of trolling lately though.

You generally dont even have to taxi if you just get on a map within 2 or3 minutes of it resetting, more often than not it will get organized and finish the entire meta. www.gw2timer.com has all gw2 events in your timezone. It’s super useful for all events in Hot and tyria such as Tequatl
