So, after mulling around with the HoT content since launch, I took a break to play a few other games when I was invited to do my first Dragons Stand meta, seeing as I hadn’t done it before.
I love the event(s), enjoying the length of the time it took and the ‘severity’ and feel that you got from the whole build up the boss battle, especially enjoying the use of mechanics that made the boss a unique experience.
And then it hit me. Serious error.
I wasn’t really daunted at first, I’ve gotten them a few times before my PC was fixed properly and I was back within the loading screen into the map within 10-15 seconds and within 20-30 seconds I was actually back on my avatar in game.
Except I wasn’t on the map I was on previously, but a completely blank boss area with zero interactions on the map.
Understandably, at this moment in time, I am very annoyed at the fact that I’ve spent about an hour progressing through the meta event and getting to the climatic battle to only be pipped at the post by an error that both denies me the satisfaction of beating it, but also the loot reward that I put time and effort into getting.
The reason why I write this post is to question the community about this, is whether or not a safeguard should be put in place for players that suddenly D/C or crash that allows them to get a portion or even a sliver of what reward they should’ve obtained from the event that they were about to complete.
Annoyed individual asks whether or not a system should be implemented to safeguard DC/Crashed individuals meta event loot, given that Dragons Stand takes about an hour to complete.
