My game runs around 50-60 fps in most zones excluding LA but in the new HoT zones I can barely reach 25 fps.
I paid almost 50€ for this expansion and I don’t want them to go to waste.
Is there a way to fix this?

Short of dropping your settings (specifcally textures, reflections etc) or upgrading your hardware, no there isn’t. It is an extremely performance taxing region I’m afraid.

New maps are more graphic intensive, so it is normal to see such drops with your gpu, which is a boosted gt 555m.

The new maps have worse performance, especially when high up. You’ll have to lower your settings to compensate.

I already dropped everything to low , and shadows off. Still, barely 30 fps.
Is there a way to lower the resolution without having those black bars around?

Open the Nvidia Control Panel, select desktop size and position under display. Select aspect ratio and tick override scaling mode set by games and programs, then select perform scaling on GPU. Hit save and try it out.

There’s nothing you can do. The new maps have more assets to load than the old maps because of the verticality.

It’s always been terribly optimised game, but it’s what you get running DX9 in 2015.

I’m glad it’s not just me. Although in my case, it’s not so much FPS as it is my computer getting really HoT in general in the new zones. I plan to upgrade soon though… I built this PC with average parts something like 5-6 years ago and have only upgraded the graphics card since. I’m still running a dual-core processor. U.U

Or words to that effect.
