E = Exalted? :O
At first I liked the mystery of ‘E’.
Who he is, what his agenda is, etc etc.
But I really stopped caring. Anet waited way too long with this E business.
That being said, I doubt it’s an exalted. ‘E’ once grabbed Marjory in Divinity’s Reach.
If a large glowing non-humanoid creature in golden armor with energy tentacles moved through the streets of DR I think Marjory and other people would have noticed lol.
EDIT: Besides the article states the Exalted were lying dormant for a long time and didn’t become active until the Master of Peace and Glint’s Egg approached them. ‘E’ was active long before that.

Also, it is much more likely that ‘E’ is referring to a single entity and not a group or race, it just like if a Tengu sent a letter and sing as ‘T’.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Maybe E as Evennia in GW1?
while not entirely impossible that marjory could have been tricked using magic, likely mesmer magic. In marjory’s encounter with E she describes a male voice, im inclined to believe that E is a single person, likely a human male. magical ability seems likely but considering that every person in tyria is technically capable of using magic (profiency is a matter of tutelage and natural talent, and a seperate issue) this doesn’t mean much in terms of finding out which of the known professions; if any, he has been taught in
I find it hard to imagine the Exalted would use the standard Tyrian mailing system to send letters of great importance.
I don’t keep up on the lore, but I always thought E was the real master of whispers. I know we are supposed to think Riel Darkwater is but… who is to say she is telling the truth?

Exalted only woke up when Glint’s egg became active. They were all in hibernation until then (or so the article makes it seem).
The egg became active between mid-Season 1 and prologue to Season 2. In other words, E predates when the Exalted should have woken at the earliest.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Maybe E as Evennia in GW1?
I have always assumed this is the case. As far as we know she holds the scepter of orr, which means she’s effectively immortal. As a human, former shining blade spy, and witness to the first stirrings of the elder dragons in this age she has the motivation, means, and skills to do everything E has done. She also has no conflicting interests as several other possible operators behind the scenes.
As a necromancer her keen interest in Marjory even makes sense.
Also, her name actually starts with E.
I find it highly unlikely anyone else is E.

Evennia was a mesmer, livia was the necromancer

Ah right, shining blade mixup. nix the first name bit. LIVIA is the logical choice for E.

Except for the fact that During her introduction to E Marjory states that she senses no Necromantic energy from the person holding her in place, and that the voice she hears is male, dont get me wrong I’d love for Livia to be E but sadly it doesnt make logical sense.

Evennia was a monk.
Anet’s goals for the story seem to include the eradication of all remaining GW1 lore, so I doubt it’s Evennia.
Evennia was a monk.
You are correct, my mistake, still the point i was attempting to make stands, that she was not a necromancer
Plot Twist:
- E = Egg (as in Glint’s Offspring)
People still care about E? I always thought of him as a failed ANet experiment.
E = GS Ball

i thought the exalted didnt wake until the master of peace started to bring the egg to them. thatd mean they couldnt be E since E was active long before that

Pretty much this. E was interesting for awhile, but basically fell off the map (which is good for him i suppose), but at the same time, the whole “who was that mysterious person?” effect has worn off, and really just don’t care.

The perfect comparison. Well done sir.
