E3- Just guild halls?
The
Honestly I think they will Just show off guild halls, already announced things, and a release date.
At e3 I think they will be trying to appeal to new players there
Personally I want to see competitive gameplay of a new GvG game mode. PvP is too small for my taste and WvW is too unbalanced due to population differences, and the matchups are too long as well for some serious watchable competition.
Now with ESPN starting an ESport channel I expect Anet to be at the top of their game and deliver a new competitive game mode with something like 10v10.
JUST guild halls? People have been asking for them for a long time and they have now confirmed them but with no details at all. I am sure I am not the only one who has that at the top of their list to hear about.
Release date? Everyone wants to hear that but a good guess is somewhere in Q3.
Cost? I am not rich but I just bought $35 of gems so I could spend 300 gold on one item. A reasonable cost for HOT would not be out of my game budget no matter what it is. Too high and not enough people will buy it.
Of course they will be showing off all the stuff we have seen already too. But that is not news to us, so our new bit is Guild Halls.

I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

Yeah………….. nah. Guild missions aren’t remotely close to raids.

I’m hopeful for a release date/preorder announcement. If they show up to the world’s largest, most renowned game showcase in the world (mostly associated with game release announcements!) with just guild halls to show off, then they will do nothing but make themselves look very amateurish and disappoint a large number of people

If we are lucky they announce the start of the pre-purchase. It could start already on E3 or at latest July 1. I have the feeling that the official announcement of pre-orders and the release date will be one or two months later.
I think it depends on what Guild Halls will have.
For example, I have this little feeling that some of the ‘challenging group content’ will have something to do with Guild Halls – not helped by the “In this presentation, Colin will reveal how Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns™ will create new ways for you and your guild to play, battle, socialize, and progress together through the guild hall system” in the announcement post – in which case I could see them covering that if it is the case.
