We have not actually had the elementalist specialization weapon confirmed yet. It does look pretty likely that it will be sword though. Not sure how it will differ from dagger yet, but I’m sure they’ll keep it interesting.

The skills that were datamined for the sword seemed like placeholders though. Just wait and see before you say ‘lol anet’.

ele/mage class is dominant in any mmorpg.. Mesmer is 1 of the mage class too.. my question is my making not dominant class more stronger and dominant class more weak.if u played gw2 since released, u will see elementalist keep getting nerf and nerf..so what related dominant class with the nerf/buffing class?

Regardless of whether Eles are nerfed or not, they are still dominant in each and every game mode.

Mesmers are not.

Why you compare these particular classes? It’s funny I’ve seen many ele players being jealous of mesmer weapons and mechanics. Now asking developers for sword to become melee as well. Ele is about ranged spells, which got crazy overpowered in terms of dmg anyway.

I have to agree. They’ve made a lot of pointless “adjustments” and “buffs”, and nerfed many integral part of many rotations. We are really with leftovers… I believe that, they should fix some core aspects of the class before delving deep into specializations. Obviously the same goes for our fellow necromancers.
