hello guys, ive known that to unlock the new spec u have to go through events in the new map.Is it the same for pvp mode?Do i still need to unlock new specs before having access to them in pvp? (which decides when i would buy the expansion cuz im much more a pvp fan) THX ^-^

Not sure, they’ve always unlocked everything by default in PvP (specially after last trait system revamp), so it might be possible all elite specs will be unlocked by default as long as you have the xpac.

The elite specs in PvE are opened with Hero points. I see no reason why they would not be ready to play in PvP. However, if they were not, they’d be reward track ‘prizes’. So you would still be safe from the big, beautiful world.

The Mist Champions for Stronghold need to be unlocked.

In SPvP they will be unlocked as long as you own HoT.

The only question is how many HPs (see other thread for that) although I doubt it will be too high. You will lock a lot of people out of a full unlock, especially ones that play a little PVE but not all the time. With HOT the thing to look at is masteries: whether those will have a full unlock of non-hot stuff in PVP has not been addressed that I know of.
