I am curious if we can try out the elite specializations in the mists if we own the expansion. I cannot decide which one I want to focus on so thought I could try them out there a bit more before I plunged into the new content with one. Thanks

All elite specs will be automatically unlocked in pvp if you own HoT, so yes.

Pandering to pvpers? Literally everyone who owns HoT can quickly go to the mist and tryout the specializations, no pvping required. I’d say pvpers have it worse due to the grind they will have to endure if they want the elite specs in WvW.
