The specialization update made it so that Trait lines (now known as specializations) no longer give attributes (instead your gear gives you more).
While you did not state so, I assume your thief is full zerker? If so, you will be missing Toughness, healing power condition duration, and condition damage that was provided before in the old system.
Maybe you’re just too glassy?
Also, If you plan on testing thief in spvp, make sure to use the Marauder Amulet and not berserker as well. (more vit)

That’s all I could come up with from your post ^^ GL!

On the subject of Engineers….

http://www.wolfineer.com/

Everything you never knew you wanted to know about engineers, in a massive guide covering everything from applications for EVERY skill (the good, the bad, the potato), to rune/sigil synergy, build theory, and build guides so well tuned, and so easy to understand, it may as well be renamed the engineer meta.

Just go for whatever is the closest match to what celestial rifle build was in case of engineer. Your best weapon is still rifle with healingturret+grenades+tool kit+elixir s utilities. Since condition damage was buffed since the big patch back in June, the condi build is (i think) more viable than before. Then use pistol+shield with these same utilities.

For traits the best place to look for is metabattle.com. But keep in mind that the builds there are good for pve as they are (since it comes down to simple math – doing max dps) in pvp its better to customize them.
