Escort Soldier too frail
Looks like someone might need to incorporate some support into their build 0.o
Mains — Mathias of the Wood [Ranger]; Collaborator Bluatt [Engineer]
Alts — Necromancer, Warrior, Elementalist
That and the enemies continue to heal themselves back up to full regardless of any poison currently on them.
OH nice, something that is HARD.

What about all the classes that can’t offer support? they are just supposed to reroll?
Only Guard and ele offer significant healing/boon sharing…
The event wasn’t designed for an entire party of Revenants. :-P
Well I’m all for hard combat, but difficulty through an npc getting killed by so much as a scratch seems a little cheesy.
We brought in a healing guardian (as mush as a celestial build could provide anyways) and that helped a lot. We also used stab and Ironfist elite to buff him. The biggest problem is we would taunt the enemies away from the soldier only to have him run right back into the foes.
So I agree that maybe he needs to be tweaked a little to stay in one place so that we can peel enemies off of him and have it mean something. We did manage to get a couple in safely.
they will melt to my zerker ele, don’t worry.
Celestial and cond.dmg revenant cant kill fast enough.
My problem was primarily that everyone got scattered, so it was sometimes me alone stumbling on a soldier that was already 3/4 dead.

It’s not even difficult, it’s just frustrating.
The enemies don’t really do much damage, not that they even really attack you.
They just focus the NPC and continue to heal themselves.
Yes I stumbled onto a couple of them and the soldiers were more intent on trying the get into the middle of the Mordrem rather than getting away from them.
That being said, I had the thought in the middle of it that the groups of enemies will be hard to down without the mkittens of players we just had to kill them.
As said above, the issue with this event isn’t that it is too hard. It is too frustrating. The soldier does anything to get him killed as fast as possible. In the mean time I tried to kill the Mender so it did not healed all the mobs the whole time. I have to say that a Revenant with Celestial isn’t the best build for that :-(

There’s more to support than just healing/boon sharing.
Off of the top of my head:
- Debuffs on enemies, such as (poisons, blinds, fear, cripple, weakness, etc)
- Smoke Fields and AoE Stealth (Thieves, Mesmers, and Engineers)
- Warrior Shouts and Condition Cleansing
- All of the classes that convert conditions to boons
- etc, etc.

Is not hard, is unbalanced. But the zerg will solve this.
I was doing pretty well with Healing turret/Flamethrower/Elixir gun Engi. The few time there was more than just me on one were fairly easy.
Pathfinding on them is a bit eh (They spend a lot of time backtracking between fights) and they tend to be a bit reckless (had one walk directly into a charger and die pretty much instantly.) If they had a mid-ranged attack instead of melee, I think it’d be less of a problem.
Other than that, I’m assuming that a small party of 2-3 in a normal mix won’t have an issue here. Hard to tell some things when 90%+ were Revenants
I haven’t had any problem with a ranger… Actually i found it quite easy… SilverWastes are much more harder than this, but again is only a beta and we had very few enemies around.
This has always been a problem in GW2. The NPCs usually die too quick thus events are always failing. They need to be scaled properly.
my issue with this event, was any time there was me and one or two other people (or just myself), the NPC would suddenly vanish from next to me (I was walking next to them the entire time), and appear in the middle of the group of monsters that’d spawned further along the path. They were usually half dead before I could even run down there to catch up.
