It stays a fact that Guild Wars 2 has still until today one of the best and greatest audio departments I’ve ever seen in a MMO…
If only the rest of this game would match to the great quality standards that its Soundtrack has gotten so far, especially in regard of Game Balance and Story Telling, then the game would be now a much better product thats of equal quality to its amazing songtracks that are in this game it’s really only working medium for transporting emotions, what should be essentially the job of the games story telling mainly and not that of the soundtrack, songs should basically support in bringing over the right moods. If this game wouldn’t have all those superb songtracks, the storytelling of this game would be just terrible and would be able by itself alone to create the right flairs from just out of the siuations beign shown to you as a player.
It began all with Fear Not This Night, HoT’s ost was just the next level and I really hope, that the next expansion will receive again songtracks made by the same composers that were responsible for HoT inclusive with again hopefully also a nice sung theme song, either by someone new or again by Asja to show with another sung Song of her or someone else the “progression” that this game has gone through by now over the years in regard of its story, that we with our characters have also progressed from fearing not the night to a new aspect of our character’s heroiccrusade against the elder dragons – that after x slain dragons we have changed us, that we are not anymore those, that we were x years ago, that our characters ripened also mentally.
That would I wish for the next expansion, that the next songtracks tries to carry over also that progression of time and all of its events that have happened within the last years that we have experienced with our characters with a focused gaze upon our future that lies ahead of us which leads us to most likely the crystal desert based on a leakekitten oon Oasis picture which is for me the highest evidence so far that makes be beleive that we will go for Kralkatorrik next as it was also rytlocks original plan to go for that drafgon, if Mordremoth wouldn’t have showed up suddenly first being at that moment the most nearest direct highly active threat first to get rid off
