I am not here to rage at the mastery system or similar – in fact I fell in love with the Exalted (which guildies start calling obsessed, hah). But I recently completed track 4 and I feel kinda let down.
I have played through the story and most zones (except for Dragon Stand since that is a huge meta event). I don’t know if Dragon Stand magically makes me a god but it feels nontheless sad how little I get out of the masteries in the other more explorable areas.
1) Exalted Markings
All the other masteries add a new form of traveling (gliding, mushrooms, wallows) that are found on all other maps and are either required for some stuff or very valuable short cuts. I know that I also get armors with this but hey – I have found only one thing were I need the markings and that is the Balthazar hero point or if I want to travel around Tarir faster. But nothing related to other maps.
2) Exalted Acceptance
Your standart vendor track – I won’t say wether it is good or bad since all masteries except gliding have this and it would be a meta kind of discussion to do so.
3) Exalted Acceptance
I think I saw an interactable object related tothis ONCE in Auric Basin. I didn’t even had the mastery back then. Also I suppossedly can upgrade other allies – But there are no clues to how I exactly do it. I feel nothing from this mastery.
4) Exalted Purification
Man was I excited about this…. Turns out it just spawns a very powerful enemy with near one-shot attacks directly were you interact. Luckily I did it after the meta event so we could just zerg it down but it killed half the people easily. And as a reward? The “finest treasures” are 2 greens and 1 blue. Eeeehhh? I don’t want something massively valuable but I put a lot XP into this track – please reward me with something – anything. For example give the player with the mastery a random account-bound exotic or maybe a flat sum of aurrillium (around 50-100?). But please anything like that and if it’s some sort of scavenger hunt or collection thingy. Just give me…anything
