I have a hard time imagining how the expansion would connect to the living story lore if at all. The new areas are in Maguuma, so I’d hope it would at least give a few clues as to what S3 would be about. Sorry for the vagueness, what do you guys think?

I am assuming the HoT is basically a direct continuation to the ending of Season 2. Which also seems to be the case based on what Colin told us (something along the lines of HoT starting more or less directly after Episode 8.

Well, no part of the Maguuma Wastes looked like the area they bombarded with the fleet. So that has to be in the new area. Caithe’s still on the run with the egg, a HUGE chunk of the Pact is scattered across the jungle after the failed assault, and Mordy’s still waking up down there. Obviously, we’re going to spend S3 continuing to battle Mordremoth, tracking Glint’s egg, and scraping up what’s left of Trahearne’s command and Destiny’s Edge from the Heart of Maguuma.

EDIT: Unless, that is, those are part of a new personal story that comes with the expansion, and they start something TOTALLY new for LS3. After all, we still have Kralkatorrik, Jormag, Primordus, and an unnamed water dragon running around out there too.
