If ANet plans on making ever again another FP. I called it for the thread FP 3.0, because it would be actually the thirs one that would be brought out then so far..I think its about time to bring one again, because theres so much things in the game, that either need a rework, or where Anet should add finally more Quality of Life Changes to the game to improve the game with the sole intention that the game should make again more FUN for all of us..
There are some things I think Anet needs to put focus on for now to bring this game also back onto the right path, because it is in my opinion driftign away from it more and more since the June 23rd Patch massively
If there is ever a Feature Pack 3.0, then this are the Features I want to see in in it beign the content that it delivers to improve significantly this game into the right direction:
(1st) – A complete Redesign of the LFG-Tool, changing it into the official new “Community Management and Organization-Tool”, brief CMO-T (Anet is free to change the term of it for copyright reasons ect.)
CMO-T will work after the redesign as more than just a Party Finder Helper that is by its current original design completely disorganized, unoverviewable and silly to handle.
After the Redesign will help CMO-T out to:
- Easier find Parties based on alot more Sub Categories for PvE like that every Region has its own Category that has as Sub Categories under it Categories for every single Map, so that you can directly search for entries for SPECIFIC areas of the game instead of having just one general gcategory that shows you absolutely EVERYTHING , what makes the whole tool just unoverviewable and at peak times also extremely SPAMMY.
- Removed Categories, that absolutely NO ONE EVER USES (Personal Story, PvP, WvW Sections)
- Added new useful Functions like “Guild Finder”, “Raid Finder/Category” or “Mission Finder/Category” for Guild Missions and lastly “Event Finder” if you want to announce own Events, or if you want to do certain specific Events that must not be even map related
(2nd) – Implemention of a Build Saver-Function
This Feature is now already 3 years long overdue and its about time, that Anet finally adds this to allow players to quickly switch out Equipment, Skills and Trait Settings out on the fly out of combat by just typing into Chat either a specific command for that, or by pressing an assigned to it button on your keyboard that you can set up in the options menu for that
(3rd) – Edited: Implementation of integrated/accepted 3rd Party Programs
Now with Action Camera being officialy a Feature of the Game, you actually don’t need other 3rd Party Mods, like CombatMod or how it was called.
Basicalyl anet implemented here now something into the game, that alot of players used a long time as 3rd party Program (for sure) and made it that way practicalyl part of the game officially.
There exist surely alot more great things out there, which should get implemented that are play by players and developers outside of ANet, thigns you can use by programs like Overwolf.
Things that come into my mind which shoudl get officially supported and implemented as Features for GW2:
- Direct Implemention of Support for SweetFX to make the Game look better, better Shader Support is always good as the original Shaders are lacking oftenly in saturation and other effects compared to SweetFX. I’d like to see this becoming officially part of GW2 either of Anet improving by themself the Shader Section to give us there more options to change saturation ect.for the game to get with the game better more SweetFX similar results
- Direct Implemention of a Teamspeak Server System into the Game Client, so that you can use TS directly from the game practically 8i think this shoudl be practicalyl possible to do, or am i wrong??)
- Overwolf offers some good UI Features like World Boss Timers ect. that is also somethign i think should get integrated directly into the game, so that we don’t have to use 3rd party internet sites ect. for that …
- Direct Implemention for an own Official Game Controler Support, so that you can play for example the Game on Pc with your XBox360 Controler with a by Anet officially supporter Feature that is optimized for this kind of game controling (for alot of things I’d so love to play the game rather with my controler, than with the keyboard – example Jumping Puzzles… and id also think I could combat better with a controler, than with the keyboard ^^, but i don#t want to use for this risky 3rd party programs or so, I want to do this only, if its kind of officially supported and integrated into the game as feature)
(4th) – Stop making permanently incomplete Cheesehole Systems - Jeweler 500, Chef 500 and now lately also too Scribe 500 need to be added finally, for those that own HoT
How long do you want to make us let wait on things like these, before you complete finally, what you have begun Anet?? Another 2-3 years??
I can repeat myself only,. Stop making Cheesehole Systems that you need to patch together then later over countless of patches, until those intended systems once reach finalyl the state of being complete. Add only new systems to the game, when you can add them from the start on in a complete way and not in like multiple little parts.
Thats also the reason, why people were so angry about it, that you so far released only 3 out of 16 new legendary weapons. They should have been released only together all at once, or not at all until its ready for a complete implemention.
(5th) – Implementation of Accountbound Ascended Runes and Sigils
The adding of accountbound Ascended Runes and Sigils is just only the logicalyl next step to finally complete this gameplay system and to synchronize it with the kind of wax how Upgrades work in PvP with PvE, so that players get the quality of life from these Runes and Sigils to unlock the effects of the Runes and Sigils permanently for their accounts, so that they can use these unlocked effects on demand, without losing the Runes and Sigils after salvaging or putting these things on equipment which whyever can’t get salvaged, because it was Karma Gear ect. or because you lost them, because the Salvaging Tool didn’t save the Upgrades for you, unless you use a BLT Salvage Set. Simple said, they easy way of how you exchange your Equipment, without having to worry about Upgrades like in PvP, the exact same simple system should exist in PvE too and that is easiyl done by adding Ascended Runes and Sigils that work as an accountbound unlocking system for the effects of the runes and sigils.
(6th) – Implementation of complete own Underwater Traits and complete Underwater Skill Rebalancing
This section of the whole game got coompletely ignored since Game Release.
Its about time, that Anet finally shows an important signal, that they still even care for that part of their game and that this part of the Game gets finally also some rebalancing in the combat relevent parts of it plus adding also some content to the game, thats designed around Underwater PvP, like adding a complete new Underwater PvP Map so that theres also finally an incentive for the Devs to keep an ey on this content, instead of completely ignoring it permanently as if it wouldnt be part of the game anymore or beign some kind of unwanted step child that wants to be seen abandonded by Anet, just like they seem to want abandon now Dungeons completely and nerf the game visually into the stoneage back….because of people with stoneage pcs complaining about, that they see nothing …
(7th) – Adding of a Guild Rename and Merge-Function
Simple long overdue functions that should exist for Guild Leaders only, that they should be able to rename their Guilds (maybe tied together with a heavy Gold Sink of like 300+ Gold or so and an included Time Gating that disables the function then for like a month or longer, so that the guild can’t get renamed constantly, but only again once the Time Gate is over – GW2 Support internally will always see the Guild’s history of names completely just in case)
If two Guild Leaders want to merge their Guilds together, then this should be possible.
Before merging the the Guilds the Leaders have to declare only officially for the Game, who of them both will be the Guild Leader after the merging. and the leader that gives up his leadership just needs to accept for the game twice, that the other leader of the other guild wil ltake over the leadership after the merging.
The merged Guild benefits then from the Favor, Aetherium, resonance ect. from both, but only the guild progression of the side that is progressed the most will naturally stay for the merged guild. Merging will only be possible for Guilds, whose Member’s wouldn’t be in sum after the merge bigger, than the total Member Limit of Guilds naturally.
(8th) – Adding of new Gathering Features – Fishing & Digging
Let us make finalyl really use of angling rods and shovels that exist in the game.
With adding of Fishing and Digging you receive also two great new gathering tools that can be turned into permanent tools for some great new Gemstore Items, while those new gathering tools can provide also new Materials for Jeweler and Chef 500!!!
(9th) – Rework of the Friendlist/Follower-System
Its finally time, that this Follower Wannabe Twitter/ Facebook Mentality Garbage disappears from this game. You either should have only FRIENDS or simply not, not any pointless Follower-Grey in between that has no place in this game and just incentivizes bad player behaviour of stalking people.
Friends for the list should need to request of you, if you want them to be your friends and only when you accept their request, then you should be showed upon their list!!
Also only people that are friends with you should be able to whisper with you, unless you have activated for your chat the option, that everybody should be able to whisper to you This alone would solve so many problems this game has with Gold Sellers that abuse hacked accounts!!
(10th) Complete Redesign of the WvW Rank and Reward System
WvW has way too many Ranks and is since release absolutely underwhelming in its Rewards.
Bonus Reward Chests should be given out immediately once you log in with your first Character into a WvW Map. You shoudn’t need another WvW Rank Up first, before you can receive your Bonus Reward Chests.
While there was still fluid WvW Exp purchaseable from using Laurels, it was no problem, but the moment you removed thatcAnetm receiving your Bonus Reward Chests became instantly again a problem as you pile them alot faster up if you don’t play so actively WvW, than you gain the ranks to get them.
So, turn thse Bonus reward Chests simply into a Weekly Loging Reward for when you enter the first time on the day with a Character of yours into WvW!!.
That woudl be the first little but important step to improve WvW rewards with this little QoL Change.
Next the general reward system of WvW needs to get completely overhauled. best would it be, if the Reward System would get more synchronized with the PvP Reward Track System and simply call it WvW Rank Track System, where WvW receives its own Tracks that each have their own Ranks where specific Tracks are doable only once, while others are permanently repeatable.
Aways with such ridiculoous and total uninspired sounding ranks like “Diamond Legend” Give GW2’s WvW a good and logical sounding Miloitary Rank System that doesn’t need to repeat itself countless times over various metals endign suddenly with a gemstone tier as top.
A good military rank system, that can add then visually an indicator beside of the character name, to see which WvW rank a placer has.
Away with this BS of showing us the ranks as red name plates under enemies, that make the plates just only unneccessary long and where WvW would just receive a performance boost, if they would finalyl reduce the amount of text that the game needs to show us based on player wvw ranks.
The waves of red text from enemy zergs would be instantly non existent, if anet would finally change the rank indicators to small srank symbols bedies the player names instead of this massive amoutns of red text that pull down just only the game performance and let WvW lag only alot more.
We have now in PvP with the league system PvP rank symbols besides player names.
Give WvW the same treatment finally please and reduce with that move the lag and improve the game performance by removing all this name eplate red texts!!
And while you are at redesigning the reward system of WvW, make it please also equal with PvP/PvE in relationship of earning gold/hour and significantly improve the options and chances to earn Ascended Equipment via WvW and make it less of a stupid RNG thing like the current wvw rank chest rewards are, where you always get 99,99% of all times just useless stuff out of them , like your typical 1 blue ancd 1 green.
The improved WvW reward system should give WvW players a continous way of how you can earn through WvW ascended equipment in a reliable way.
Like a repeatable WvW Rank Track that rewards you over time constantly with something , that once you have enough of that something gives you in a guaranteed way ascended equipment of your choice… that way would become WvW alot more interesting and rewarding and more equal with PvE in regard of obtaining ascended equipment
(11th) – Adding of Personal Skill Noice Intensity and Player Noise Reduction as Options for the Graphic Settings
Make all the Visual Noice Nerfs of the game lately a Setting under the Graphic Settings, thus making all the changes OPTIONAL for everyone. This one should actually be an absolute no brainer and it just baffles me, how Anet seems to think, their lately actions of nerfing the graphics of skills back to stoneage in the name of esports is something, that is actually something that the majority of the community ever wanted.
11 things on my mind right now, that I’d love to see getting changed ASAP and improved with a next Feature Pack to bring this game again back onto the right path more, if anet is ever intending on bringing a new FP
