Finisher on skill should be for berserker
The berserker seems more about attacking very quickly and burning stuff down that huge brute force slow attacks.
Sorry but if at all it should be on Reaper. Because it fits the Reaper thematic to a T. And Reaper even has a skill called “Executioners Scythe”, aswell as Necros being about the worst stompers in GW2.

Uhm… rather than warrior? Definitly. Maybe both, but a Reapers essence is collecting souls. Meaning a direct finisher fits it way better than the “oh we so stronk we kill onehit” explanation of the OP. Also we already have a skill that this would be perfect on, but maybe increase the CD by 20 seconds if it is used to finish someone. Warrior has more than enough ways to not get interrupted in their normal stomping. Necro pretty much has none because they won’t allow us to stomp while in deathshroud for soem random reason.
Actually i think the DD shouldn’t have such a skill either, because they are about the safest stompers around. Go invis, stomp, profit.
seriously? doesn’t berserker have already too much? oh, come on, that aoe taunt every 12 seconds is insane. with primal burst supposed to be weaker then normal burst (since you only need 10 adrenaline) but instead are 10x stronger.
@Zackie, there is 0 merit to your post honestly. Brute force? So what? Thief’s finishing attack may just as well be precision attack. Still Elite is brute force enough and DD has access to physical skills.
There is 0 reason why zerk should get it before any other class. Quite honestly there is no class that should have any priority over another because every class would have something that could finish others.
You say brute force? Well how about engineers bombs and grenades that is definitely a lot of force so mabe it should to the engie eh?

Safest stomper might as well change Shiro/Jalis Rev, Stability Road + Impossible Odds Quickness stomp :P Shiro alone allows Rev to have Quickness on every single stomp.
As for elite imo it fits DD. Physical fighter fighting with 2 handed staff all about brute force with blunt edge. The way I see his Downward Slam is pulverizing his enemy’s skull into a pulp with his staff.

@ Shinki – You actually CAN stomp in Deathshroud. This was changed quite some time ago. It makes stomping from a tight close match very easy. Almost dead? DS! Then stomp. I do it all the time in PvP.
I think warriors should get stealth. And attunement swapping too. The class lacks in every department. Sad… /sarcasm

Negating a point just because you do not understand it doesn’t mean it is invalid. adding little insults into your ‘opinions’ do not make them any more valid either.
brute force is the reason it acts as a finisher. every class has a different theme. To claim that all classes are the same is your own understanding when in reality, they aren’t.
Even the reaper or the nade engi has more reason to get that finisher on skill than the daredevil.
assassination and brue force are 2 different things. It doesn’t require brute force to kill somebody who is already down, just assassin skills.
This being said, stop being fanboys. Berserker has already too many toys. I see only nerfs incoming for that spec.

I can argue that you’re the one who doesn’t understand why it isn’t and shouldn’t be prioritorized for berserker. I didn’t add “little insults”. Don’t know what you’re referring to. Your only argument (invalid) is that finishing blows are brute force. This is wrong because finishing blows are 1) not only accomplished through brute force 2) Daredevil is about brute force so it fits him just as well.
Also I don’t know where did you get the idea that I ever said “all the classes are the same”. Making up stuff doesn’t do you any good. I said that every class would have something that could finish others. I fail to see how you can not see the difference.
I guarentee that a precision strike (fist or w/e) to trachea is just as lethal as a grenade in your pants if not more :P

You make a good point PopeUrban.
Two classes with large EHP pools and invulns/stability don’t need a way to stomp faster.
Thief did, as he’s far more likely to just die if he has to hang around to stomp, and he has no invulns or stability to stomp in the middle of a fight.
Thief can easily stomp if needed thanks to stealth/blinds. Not the best profession doing this but he have good tools for

Right, but a DD specced thief (the one that has this new elite) is encouraged to not take those stealths and blinds in favor of more evasion. Thus, it makes perfect sense that he might want to use this elite in stead of taking a stealth that is counter to his new build, or being forced in to offhand pistol.
The whole point of Daredevil, is, after all, to meake a stealthless thief a viable option, and a stealthless thief wouldn’t be able to stomp with just the blind from his staff.
