A long time ago in a teaser for heart of thorns, we saw some fire creatures moving around in a scorched area. They’re faces look similar to the fire vambrace helm.

Again we see the same creatures in the April 19 spring update trailer. I admit I have not gotten 100% in heart of thorns, but I have access to all 4 maps. Any ideas what these creatures are? I would say Destroyers, but have found no evidence in my travels that there are Destroyers in the meguma wastes. ( Except the personal storyline where you fight one dragon minion from almost every dragon. )

Is it a hint at our next expansion? Our next Living world story?

They’re not Destroyers. They’re Mordrem. Usually show up during Meta heavy areas. The scorched part may be one of the Verdant Brink Meta bosses up on the top layer, the dragon-like creature that breathes fire. The one you seem to be referring to may be one of the mounts some of the Mordrem ride on.

Hmmm. Maybe. I suppose shot from the proper perspective, with limiting what you see in the shot, that could be the case. I’ve fought that boss many times. The acid one too. Yeah they do create a scorched area.

I thought since the elder dragons seem to be made of elements, that Primordious was encroaching on Mordramoth’s territory. They all fight each other according to lore, and the Fire Islands are kinda close to Meguma.

I suspect that is where Primordus is hiding. The Fire Islands. The Titians from GW1 kinda looked like Destroyers.

Any other idea on what those could be? I know the spring content update is going to retune content. Not add new content. Do you also think Primordus could be what SS3 could be leading up to? June is fast approaching. June for SS3 is just tentative I am sure, but would be nice if SS3 was in June.

As for the fire creatures, I’m pretty certain it was all clever trailer footage – some of the mordrem seem to use fire based attacks. Much of it is just out of context for the area the are in because they are trailers and thats how they are made.

I know what they are. Pawns of the fallen God. Lol I just said they look like destroyers.

Mostly because they take on aspects of whatever territory they move into, and they came into the ring of fire islands and became molten monsters. There are leafy Titans, icy Titans, and fleshy Titans found between the Shiverpeaks, maguuma, and the realm of torment.

Yeah never got that far in Prophecies. Only the Old Dwarf Camp. Hired a runner to get me there. Lol that was back in 2007.
