I’ve played this game for 3 years everyday. This expansion there is a few issues that still need fixed. In the new wvw maps they are way too huge and it is a pain to get from point a to point b with the terrain and twists and turns and it makes everyone want to stay on the eternal borderlands because the new maps are way too big and the terrain a bit of a pain. Just make the maps a bit less huge and make the terrain less of a pain. In pvp it is a bit more balanced but a few things still need tweaked, talk to some good legendary pvper’s for info on balancing. PVE content, the best thing I ever participated in was the battle for lion’s arch. That was a crap ton of fun, make more stuff like that please. Condi build also still overpowered too. LAST thing making coin is not as fun and a bit more hard. You can’t make gold ever really from wvw, the drops blow, When you nerfed dungeons without coin from that people don’t play it. Make the game more rewarding, balanced, and navigatable. One more thing, in wvw, if you have a lot of people on a map from 1 server and the other server isn’t on, I think the bosses in keeps should get buffed to stop the karma training.

One last thing have some more free items in the gem store every now and then. Making scribing less expensive and guild hall upgrades less expensive. It makes people hate the game if they can’t build their guild hall and you have to pay to win. =(

Agreeing with this, WvW got rekt in HoT

Condi build also still overpowered too.

No chance, power is way stronger than condi. Tempest, Daredevil, Dragonhunter(in this order) have more dps than any condi build

Not as fun? Agreed. More hard? Not in a million years. They said they’ll move the gold from dungeons to fractals. They did. I farmed exactly 5 hours today the level 40 fractals. Our team was meh, 0 might stacks at all time. After said 5 hours, I’ve converted karma to gold, fractal relics(got 991) to spirit shards(Dessa’s journals) and sold everything on the TP. I made 187 gold. That’s a whopping 36g per hour, and with an average team. If we had a good comp, used foods etc, I probably would’ve had 50g/ hour. You can tell me farming gold is boring, but you can’t tell me it’s hard. Get 4 friends, nolife in the lvl 40 fractal for a week, and you’ll have 3k gold before you know it.

I love the new WVW desert BL maps. Yea it seems like they were originally designed for gliding, then something went wrong and they decided not to allow it which makes no sense, as you can design anything, or invisi walls around keeps or other methods to keep gliding over keep walls easily out of the game, but w/e.

I think they are great fun ROAMING maps mostly cause no one uses them. but which if zergs did uses them make them even bigger! It does seem to funnel people a bit more and I understand the thinking there’d be huge zergs so it should be more fun / more combat. But i guess if wvw’ers are big whiners then that won’t happen much.

Yea i don’t anymore, less i want specific tokens. I get why they nerfed dungeon to make people play pve content. But i presumed they’d be redoing them in the future.

They explicitly stated the gold nerf from dungeons was to explicitly disincentivize players from doing dungeons. Considering how slowly they work on bringing updates to the current small group content (fractals), I wouldn’t hold your breath on updates to dungeons. Plus, if I was planning on revamping something, I wouldn’t drive the players who play that content away from the game possibly by destroying the game mode’s rewards to a degree that most players stop playing them. I’d be hyping the content or leaving hints that a rework is coming and leaving rewards as they stood.

Edit to add: And to me, what they did was the coward’s way out. Yes, dungeons had their problems. But instead of actually trying to fix them into something a good number of players enjoyed, they decided to basically just give up on dungeons.

Dungeons could have a great mid-time length content between fractals and raids. But now it’s just for new players or AP hunters. The veterans have run the dungeons hundreds of times. The fun that comes from the dungeon itself has long since gone away. And by new player and veteran I mean to dungeons, not necessarily to the game.

The new desert BL sucks real bad. It takes to long to get to the action. Nowadays, that I know the map real well and I know there is a big gorge I have to go around, or jumping puzzle crap in the way, I don’t even bother, just sit by WP and wait for the group to WP / respawn since there is no pint in trying to get to the fight if its over by time you get there. And I am not alone in this, the more people get to know the map better the worse it seems to get.

Do this enough times and I leave to EB or just log off.

Overall there were supposed to be some huge improvements to the game mode with HOT, but they miserably failed and did not listen to beta testers, only to the streamers and PR purposed PVE guilds, while doing absolutely nothing with regards to the core issues which have been present since game started, hence the WVW fail.

As for the gold farming, liquidation method + SW used to yield equivalent of around 60-70ish gold per hour, but SW got nerfed, not sure what it yields now and not sure how much I could get from the new HOT maps since I don’t really keep track anymore.

Though you can apply the method to whatever resources you collect from whatever source, be it from fractals, new open world maps, whatever, that will always boost your income total.

Theres no fixing it! Gw2 was rushed before its first release. And every time they add something they break something. So, it’s either bear with it or move on to another Mmo that’s all we can do.
