Q:
Flying Combat coming to HoT?
What in that image gives any indication the Guardian is flying? And what about Chronomancers? We know they don’t get any flying skills.
Maybe it’s an aesthetic tied to the Elite Spec. Paragons in GW1, for example, used to get wings when they cast certain skills.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
Gliding is not flying. Nobody thought we would get flying combat when the black wings sold on the gem store and those guardian wings will likely be no different. You are making a wild and baseless assumption.
There’s another NCSoft game called Aion that would have similar characters with wings. And in GW1, there was a cross game promotion with Aion wings. I’m just wondering if this is what Anet Devs were working on in secret for all these years.
Answer this, then: How does the Chronomancer go about their flying combat?

Guardian is not flying. We’re not getting air combat.
Edit: was this post intentionally ironic? A guy named “Smooth Penguin” assuming that wings = flying? Did I just miss the flightless bird joke?

I thought those were the Shatterer wings already available in game.
Edit: didn’t see the OP was Smooth Penguin, well know for making “not serious” threads.
ANet may give it to you.
