Guild Wars 2

For the past 3 weeks or so, I’ve been experiencing frequent game crashes at the most inopportune times. The following meta events have caused my client to crash:

Dragon’s Stand
Auric Basin
Tequatl
Tangled Depths

Frankly, I don’t mind the crash. It’s not such a big deal. But the problem is this: once you’ve been removed from the map, your spot isn’t reserved and getting back in is very improbable.

It is EXTREMELY frustrating when you spend ~1 hour in any map and are rewarded with absolutely nothing. It makes progression difficult and ultimately deters me from playing this game.

I’ve tried all of the suggestions from updating to 64 bit client (my ram is fine) to ensuring that my graphics driver is up to date (it always is). Nothing has made a difference.

I really love this expansion and want to continue to enjoy it but it’s been difficult. Begging the devs to address this in a timely fashion. Couldn’t care less about the new Shatterer at this point.

change video setting to lowest or off,

Right before I go into a Meta, I change graphic settings to best performance, lower the texture on character texture. I’ve not had much problems since I’ve been doing that. Your mileage may vary, so many things that could be causing these its hard to say, even after the 64 bit some are having issues, different video cards, different processors, different set ups…but this gave me some relief from the crashes. I also ran a dump file on the process that caused the crash and did a little tweaking on my video card. Might try that, its much less aggravating.

It’s not just always your client, this has just happened to me in Dragon’s Stand, I was in a squad, we got to the very end, the cutscene started playing then we all crashed. No-one in the squad was in the instance we just completed, which indicates that it’s not us, it’s the servers.

This has been happenig to me since I ever set foot in kitten dragonstand.

This is the 7th time I manage to get in organized map (after waiting at least 30min of organizing and taxing in people) and BAM, error, unable to join back my squad and forever left out in empty map unable to do anything for the following 2h

I only ever completed this event ONCE, and that single time I completed it, I got an error when I was going to purchase stuff from the vendor. I log back and I’m in empty map with no vendor.

For personalized support you need to make a ticket.

Delete your GW2.dat And GW2.tmp, then run a GW2 with -image and download it fresh.
