Seriously, are you trolling us Anet? For this achievement that gives us 0 AP we have to fail 2 freaking events. No skill used, just camping and time wasting. Now the best part, these 2 events are in the high traffic levelling zone with Veterans that are super easy to be killed. This makes it almost impossible to attain it.. Suggestion: Why not just make events that required failings in LA in front of that Mystic Forge? Seriously! I spent almost 1,500 gold for the prec and if I knew that this bs is what I have to face, I would have saved it for something more useful rather than aggravation and no-brainer activity. Anyway, I know some dudes there have been camping for days.. And not to mention a lot of new players there got salty comments and cursed by the veteran players. Why? Because of your poor game design (not at all but these event-failing requirement bs). Good job Anet

If you’re around when they typically patch the game (late evening US time), then you can zone to the event when you see the “a new build will be available in 10 minutes” message then wait for new patch to be available. Most players will leave that instance immediately and no one new will coming into it, so you have a much better chance at successfully failing the event.

looks like that’s the only way right now.. so sad it has to depend on 10 mins before updates to complete such an achievement..

Okay, so they are “looking into it” – for 7 days now. It has been a problem for 21 days?
I’m everything but pleased about this issue.

Some players just camp there. Who aren’t doing this collection, but just for the fun of it, saying things like: “Gimme 20g, or I’ll kill the shaman.” And then off he goes and ruins it.
I’ve been waiting there, seeing low lvl players also having fun – in 1 hour, you probably finished the heart that is near by, however the same players were messing with the event for quite some time now. I can’t help but guess that the reason behind it was to kitten off those who are trying to finish their collection. Kinda don’t think that only this event gives xp, or it would give higher xp compared to others in the zone.

Clap, clap, clap to ArenaNet and this “design”. Until this point, I finally enjoyed the collection – after the no brainer-money-sink-vol.2. Now I do not anymore.

I really hope you guys will put in a fix for this issue next tuesday. And for the future, just forget about the failed-event-needed-to-spawn-another-that-also-needs-to-fail-so-you-can-do-another-that-might-not-need-to-fail-so-you-get-what-you-were-waiting-here-for-the-last-48hrs, especially in starter zones.

Actually, go back and try it today at some point. I had been camping it for 3 days, got frustrated last night and then as I tried to WP back to DR, there was a mini patch…

Logged back in at the Owl WP and the event was happening…got the collection piece….and the event didn’t fail. O_o

Other’s standing with me at the time think maybe it was stealth patched…or maybe the RNG gods finally felt bad for us. (this was before standard server reset)
