Friends
Probabely not is it so hard to press y and go into followers tab?
If you want you friends to light up on map there is this funktion called a group that make you see them on map.
Why do we need a inspect funktion? If you want to know what they are wearing talk to them and ask if they can link it to you. ( dont be a creep that silently lurk around checking people out and kicking said people out of party if you deem them unworthy of your presence )
There has been a ton of inspect function, and “armory” feature posts in general allready. All of them end up with a similar response… “Not wanted here”
The idea of being able to see when someone added you and wants to be a friend is cool. The rest of it is just another form of gear inspect/armory which I’m hoping stays FAR FAR away from GW2.
I would like the opposite of Inspecting where you can post your charactors build instead.

^This.
We do not need, nor want, a gear inspect option. That has aided in the destruction of many an MMO community, created massive elitism, and destroyed build diversity in nearly every MMO that has incorporated it.
Unfortunately, if it can be posted, people will start requiring that it be posted, with a similar effect to the Inspect function. It’d just create an extra hoop to jump through for the same data, to the same effect.
I’m pretty sure there is or was a thing where dungeon parties would require pinging of gear and /kick people who chose not to ping or pinged the ‘wrong’ gear. If that’s never been a thing, I’m confused about where I got the idea for it having been, and surprised.

I see groups advertised as “Ping gear” in the LFG tool. Not very often, but sometimes. Fortunately, those groups will sit in the LFG window for a long time, often eventually just giving up without filling out the group because most people don’t want to group up with such elitist jerks. I intentionally refuse to group with such people, even though I run full zerker with almost all my gear being ascended and thus would easily pass their “inspection.”
Those kind of people will always be around, but with the current lack of an inspect function, they are pretty easy to avoid. However, if an inspect option is added, they will become unavoidable.
